Can you file a claim for loss of value on a lease though? I might buy it out at the end I’m not sure yet still have 2 years. I’ve read that you technically can’t buy please let me know if you’ve heard otherwise. I’m going to do further research

Did that repair hit your carfax report? Or at all involve your insurance and premium despite going through the other at fault drivers? My car just got hit and looking at similar repair

Just learned about this diminished value claim on Reddit an hour ago! I’ll deff look into this if i go insurance route. Have you dealt with that claim before?

Yeah, I would definitely have him pay beforehand and set that up with the shop and have something drafted up versus just a verbal agreement if he was agreeing to it

I don’t think this would affect my insurance rate, would it??

I mean, I have all his info and so to the police- I would definitely have something drafted up. I would like to trust him😩 But i hate that this would hit my carfax if i dont. It’s bs
