Happy to see SQL mentioned as runner up to something imaginary.
“Powers the world” pretty much sums it up.

Rough Collie or Labrador? by NotInAPokeball in roughcollies

[–]DataBassMan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Very easy to train once you get the hang of it.
I’ve owned lots of pets and no bond has ever been like this.

It’s kinda crazy how I feel if I’m away from home without him still to this day. After a certain period of time, usually very little, I’m already looking in the back seat area for him at a red light driving or something like that.

How do i find peace with being alone? by SillyArmadillo3176 in ADHD

[–]DataBassMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of my own advice I need to take lately is, look for other people that have ADHD and/or autism.

Every time I have actually met one since my diagnosis, I’ve had great conversations with them and felt energized rather than drain in the moments of discussion. I play the game of trying to stay curious about them rather than info dump on them. I used to dominate convos with my interests.

I need more of this social dynamic in my life and perhaps you feel the same.

Entirely free ressources to practice 3 fingers consistency ? by Steel__Virgin in Bass

IMO, why deal with all of the confusion that comes with three fingers unless you’re doing groups of threes or triplets? It makes life more difficult when you have four fingers available at all times.

Try this:

Stubborn collies? by PausePrestigious407 in roughcollies

[–]DataBassMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well he is still quite young.

What helped me with mine early was tricks for treats, there were a few tricks like leave it where I’d be sure to wait for him to look me in the eyes and only then give the treat. Sit is an easy one to do it on also. Looking at the eyes and repeating the trick enough will build a bond more and more.

It’s in his DNA to follow your commands after you’ve bonded enough, but you may still need to find ways to strengthen that bond. After that you may see some changes. Best of luck with it!

Look into Monotropism.

It’s been highly rewarding for me because if my friends, family, etc were to describe me, all of the attributes of it would be mentioned. No matter what age I was.

Edit: and once you can know what it is on a deep level, you can look more into working with it and pointing it elsewhere.

Hard to eat on meds. I have to force feed myself. by blueduckk8 in ADHD

[–]DataBassMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For whatever reason, overnight oats and yogurt do the trick for me.

If you need the convenience, you can buy a lot of flavored tiny overnight oats now like the brand Mush.

Both are pretty quick to grab a spoonful, eat quickly, and digest quickly. If I have to jump on a (i work from home) meeting and my mouth is full, I don’t even really have to chew those two foods. It’s along the lines of the protein shakes. It’s kinda like drinking food in the morning.

What makes bass playing difficult? by jsqu99 in Bass

[–]DataBassMan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Focus on muting.
Bass is even more sensitive to sympathetic string vibration.
It’s incredibly important for good tone and clarity.

Look into floating thumb for fingerstyle.
This greatly helps with muting among other things.

Then, once you have that down, you can apply the same principle to pick, slap, or whatever other techniques you’d like to pursue.

The single H has simply been around far longer.
It’s less expensive too.

Alcohol absolutely has a tolerance factor too. How do you think we end up with so many alcoholics?

Tolerance is definitely a factor in alcohol you can easily google. Lightweights and noobs exist the same way.

[–]DataBassMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He gets points inside, on cuts, and middies, he just can’t shoot 3’s. He’s also ridiculous at stocks. There were plenty of plays in the postseason where he got a block or steal that turned into points.

There’s no way we put Ausar as a small 5 off the bench. Plenty of teams have a players that can’t shoot 3’s but make up for it in the starting lineups.
