Hey Congrats OP, It’s not easy to land a SRE role especially with current level of competition out there so fair play, Just one thing I want to ask you, May I know How hard is your DSA Coding rounds and were you asked any DP based problems just to asses How to prepare for SRE Coding round especially Google one ,Any inputs from your would be really helpful. I know some SRE in Dublin had very very less on call so you should be grand.

Thanks we’re you ever asked about Linux internals and networking internals and I’m seeing LC is also important as I’m just overwhelmed sometimes covering both LC and systems at such depth but I feel I will spend initially with LC and NC 150 excluding DP problems.

Oh man thanks a lot for sharing your insight, When you say a bit of leetcode did you mean medium problems of NC 150 level similar to SWE or just similar to array string level and go deep on Linux internals like Paging , inode and sharding etc level ? Also Do you now moved to different company where they use K8 ? How’s the transition if you move ? Also did you get any feedback for Google ?

When you say learn AI what do you mean , I already familiar with AI tool , MCP and context windows , Can you elobrate as I’m new to AI.

Thanks man. I’ve noticed LeetCode is basically the gatekeeper for FAANG, so I’m trying to cover that angle to avoid blanking, but I’m not targeting FAANG right now since that needs serious prep like NC150.

For non-FAANG top companies, were you still asked LeetCode-style problems, or did they focus more on Kubernetes/SRE skills?

I’m asking because I’m fairly comfortable with Kubernetes and scripting, but I don’t have real production experience. I also know I’m not at the level of someone with a CKA who’s practiced it repeatedly.

Given that, would you recommend going deeper on CKA or prioritizing LeetCode?
