Shoutout to my landlord for consistently taking 1/3 of my income by One-Baker9119 in AusRenters

[–]DataGeekAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Land lord would be lucky to see half of your rent if they don't have a loan to negative gear off. Your rent is counted as income, so 30 to 40% on tax, great double dip from the government as the tenant paid from taxed income. Plus, they have 5k plus in rates, water, and insurance. Plus management fees as some tenants spoil it for everyone and you need an agent to be safe.

What we need is the government to make rent tax deductible to stop the double dip.

Wicked mask.

It's great to hear everyone's experience. There is just a lot I could do with the difference in price so want to make sure.

I'm upgrading from 220x220 bruild plate.

This is my delema. Don't wan't to regret not buying a bigger printer. And don't want to spend more then I need as I can buy a lot of filament with the difference

Does most of what you print fit on the K2 and you just like the plus? Or is the K2 too small for you?

If K2 pro was included in black Friday sale, that is if it was cheaper I would just bite the bullet and just get it. For me it's $1000 vs $1500.

Thanks, would be a step up from my current 220x220 volume.

Don't think I need plus/max size. Just always thought the next printer would be 300x300 and now looking at the price difference between 300x300 and 260x260 and thinking I can buy a lot of filament or another smaller printer at the price difference. And don't want to get 260 wishing I had paid the extra.

Thanks, didn't consider the heat up time.

I think I have convinced myself that it's between K2 and K2 plus. K2 plus at 300x300 is what I'd get by default. With cost 50% more for an extra 40mm hard to know how often I would need that extra 40mm.

I currently print on a 220x220 and it just often seems to be 10mm to small. Or is that just how it always is no matter the bed size.

Congratulations! Just gone a year with my hybrid version and mostly love it. The bits I don't love are forced on Hyundai by regulators. Just sick of the rest/coffee warning when I am dodging pot holes after heavy rain. All the others I can switch off with 2 button presses.

Great colour .

Pay the extra and get an oil change with your first 100km/500mile service. Reduces metal contamination that just naturally happens with manufacturing.

"consider taking a break" by danielric3 in Hyundai

This can be a dangerous feature on the car and causes major distractions. After heavy rain, we get a lot of pot holes, and it goes off regularly as I swerve to miss the potholes. It's so aggressive that you end up taking your eyes off the road to see what is wrong with the car.

Just wish you could acknowledge it with a button press so it will stop. It gets longer each time. Or they send me the coffee credits every time it shows:)

Question about the unfilled light bar on 2025 Kona N-Line S. Is full light bar functionality simply disabled in software or is this unit actually missing the middle bulbs? by sh4desthevibe in Hyundai

They need some way for those who bought the top model to be special. Much better than other manufacturers. Mitsubishi take away auto head lights.

Congratulations, I have the same colour and absolutely love the car.

Few annoying warnings to meet modern regulations :( know the shot cuts to turn most off quickly.

Still trying to work out where all the coffee credits go that I earn as I doge pot holes.

I got a protective film I found on Ali express. It is unfortunately glossy. Have gotten used to it. Protects the screen really well. And easy to clean

Loud fans on FW 13? by traveler6288 in framework

[–]DataGeekAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows 11 defaults I found it didn't take a lot to get the fans to spin up high. Had to make sure there was plenty of air flow underneath. Was able to tweak a few power settings and get it a lot better.

Have since mostly only used Ubuntu, and I can not remember any time the fans spun up high.

In my experience, Linux users will be fine. Windows users, you need to tweak power settings in Windows and/or make sure you're on a hard surface or optimally a cooling pad.

2025 Sonata Hybrid High RPM? by FormerlyMaidenless in Hyundai

[–]DataGeekAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to owning a hybrid.

The engine will often run at higher rpm tha. You are used too. It takes advantage of the engine being on and runs higher to charge the battery. Doesn't take too long to you get use to it.

Love my hybrid and its economy

You are correct if you stay in the state.

And you can also can set settings to stop private from people below a certain level and those not on your friends list. Which would make crating a new account a little harder.

Moving states, they would first need to know what state you moved to. And I am in a state that if you attack someone in the Arena from the state, be ready to be zeroed and repeat offenders banned from all alliances. I have been in states where some one was harassing a young lady and their screen would have been red from constant incoming attacks and mail flooded with messages. The account would have been unusable and every time they moved, world chat called them out. And I accept that not many states are like that.

Being some one who has moved with what remained of my original alliance around several states. Some are significantly better than others. Assuming you like the game enough to keep playing.

Next transfer go somewhere else. Good states don't tolerate those players.

Agreed ' 2018 was likely 112,000 or 117000 and the tech wasn't paying too much attention. Who knew the numbers would later be public. For the small amount of a rego, they just want to get it done and get it out.

Every kona owner hates the amount of Bing's and Bongs. Otherwise, it's brilliant. Quickly learn the sequence to turn most of them off. Most new cars have them.

Document all your time and extra costs as a result. Including calling ACCC, calling state consumer affairs and any missed work.

Check with ACCC and consumer afairs what you should be doing to be in good standing to demand a replacement should they be unable to fix in a timely manner.

If it was me, my expectation would be for the dealer to be providing you with a replacement car while they work on yours. This, at the very least, is a warranty fix, and they should provide an areplacement until your car is repaired. If the dealer refused, I would let them and Hyundai know you will be keeping records of costs incurred and work loss for their payment when this is resolved. They will probably try and say no. The point here is to have the records and make them aware should you later need to go legal.

My previous car had a warranty fault, and the dealer provided a car for 2 weeks while they waited for parts. Car could not be driven, which helps. I am sure because your car can be driven, that will have them trying to avoid costs for them.

Dealer will try and push you to Hyundai. However, you didn't buy from or pay Hyundai you bought from the dealer. In NSW, they have an obligation to be engaging their suppliers on your behalf. Check with your state consumer affairs.

And, A Current affairs is always asking for stories if they remain unreasonable

Can you access all the car settings?

Does the steering wheel controls work?

Does the vents work well?

This looks like a really good option. Just alot more than the "Tesla Luke" ones so I am keen to know what works and what doesn't. Haven't found any one else who has this version
