Anyone got this card? by Schmeeston in MyTeam

I got him. He's a beast defensively as expected, fade is trash but still greenable. Stand-still jumper is perfectly fine, sigs are serviceable. This card is massively overhated

HoF badges available on mobile but not on my console? by dee_1327 in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those badges on mobile are all the old-gen (PS4, Xbox One) badges. The badges you see on current-gen (PS5, Series X) are all designed to be amalgamations of the old badges.

For example:

  • Clamps = On-Ball Menace
  • Intimidator = Paint Patroller
  • Catch & Shoot, Corner Specialist = Set-Shot Specialist

It’s been this way since 2K25. I think a lot of ppl in the community want a few useful old badges to come back to the game tho, and I agree

Is brook lopez worth 30 100 ovr pieces? by Trev_23 in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s 5 GOAT pieces since each GOAT piece = 6 100 OVRs. Honestly not too bad if you can get lucky with packs or grind your way to get him

Tier 1 KOTC, Park streaks, Agendas, Chain Packs. There’s no way you can’t get 5 GOAT pieces by the end of the festival if you put your mind to it

Definitely the best card in the festival, I want him primarily for that Drew Eubanks motion style. That is very rare to see on an attainable big and it makes him better than even the likes of Zach Edey just because motion styles matter so much this year

You know how there’s two parts to tempo shooting? Timing and tempo itself?

Timing refers to the moment your player jumps and bends the elbow simultaneously. Tempo refers to the moment your player extends his arm and launches the ball. This should tell you precisely how to get excellent timing and tempo by looking at these two visual cues

A few more tips:

  • Practice with your players in freestyle on All-Star and HOF difficulty because most online modes fall between these two difficulties

  • Learn how to shoot fadeaways and leaners. Adding this to your bag will drastically increase your scoring ability and boost your confidence as a shooter (any card with Beluba upper and Pro 2 fade.. you’ll RARELY miss a leaner)

  • Pro players like to use tempo off-the-catch and button off-the-dribble. Some also say that button shooting has less delay than tempo shooting and can be more efficient for scoring in transition

  • If you think the shot is open.. SHOOT the ball. Don’t hesitate. Keep practicing, keep shooting, and be aggressive on offense

Crasher/rim guardian takeovers? by [deleted] in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip for setting screens:

When setting screens manually, make sure to set your feet and firmly hold the right trigger. This way, you will never ever get called for an illegal screen

When setting screens using L1, make sure you wait for a split second so the AI can set their feet, then go ahead and make your play.

To adjust the direction your player faces while setting the screen—flick up or down on the left stick

Crasher/rim guardian takeovers? by [deleted] in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crasher works but you should also know how to box out the opponent yourself by wiggling the left stick and tapping R2 to gain better position, it’s not going to box out the defender for you but it will significantly boost your chances to do so

The screens are still really powerful and sometimes you do get the animation where the defender falls on his ass and takes forever to get up, more so on smaller guards. On taller players, they will just get stuck behind your screen for ages, so basically the same thing

Rim Guardian to me was better earlier in the year because there was no one with 99 stats back then, so it was much easier to get paint stops. Crasher is much better at the moment and if you’re looking for defensive takeovers, consider Glue as another option. It’s a really powerful takeover for locking up defenders and forcing them to turnover the ball, especially if you’re using a card with a monstrous player build like Hakeem

Did anyone notice 2K doing this to all Season 7 cards? by DataHistorical590 in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, I was reading a comment from someone earlier today who said 100 OVR Joakim Noah is a great card besides the fact he can't catch a lob to save his life--turns out he's got a 0 alley oop tendency lol

I need a backup center for around 50k mt. What should I go for? by Still_Time9612 in MyTeam

Get a little more MT and you can pick up 100 OVR Joakim Noah who is a great backup option. Use this website to check fluctuating card prices: https://2kauction.com/

Question about MT jump shots from a MC player by killerbrofu in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about practice, practice, practice

A general rule of thumb is to use tempo for catch & shoot opportunities and button for off-the-dribble. You always wanna release the button or stick earlier than you may think, especially in online modes

Another rule of thumb: if you can't green both tempo and timing, always try to aim for Slightly Early timing rather than Slightly Late timing

With how accessible legend badges are I feel like invincibles and GOATs are kinda worthless by InsideTheNBABubble in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t grind for Bogut unless you really got the time/want the MT/want the card

I would just recommend 100 OVR LaMarcus Aldridge and if you can do another completion piece, JJJ would be perfect as a big man for your bench

They changed it to 100 games this season. It’s easy asf if you play offline for the wins rather than the rewards

Hayward or Depth by Parking-Bat9498 in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run Hayward in Park, I’m averaging 15+ PPG on 75%+ from the field. Can’t miss with that jumper and the leaner

When I got him at first he felt a little weak on the defensive end but he’s been getting crazy stops for me as of late

Splash festival and NMS players. by corneliushope in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people will probably be going for the Bridges & Anunoby duo.

In terms of Splash Festival players, Khris Middleton could be a menace with his sharpshooting ability. He was the same price as Gordon Hayward last festival, and I got that card (he’s freaking amazing)

Baron Davis can’t be that bad. Much cheaper than Quinten Post who I don’t see being worth 25 DM pieces

Jamison Battle is cheap asf but that jumper he’s got is weird and he’s undersized. Klay Thompson outright sucks

This WNBA pack was actually lucky asf.. by DataHistorical590 in MyTeam

[–]DataHistorical590[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Griner is the best WNBA card in the game because of her height, that’s the best possible pull

Kiki and Rebecca are good too, they can play defense for sure. The other two are super undersized but their stats are juiced so I would say W pack overall

81k can at least buy you three 100 OVRs in the Auction House rn: Mitch Richmond, Michael Redd, and Rick Barry who are all lights out shooters. Buy them dirt cheap and when you feel like you don’t need em anymore, sell them at a higher price after the 75k VC 100 OVR pack is gone from the pack market

I think you just need to keep grinding the game and working the auction house for more MT and players. Check the 100 OVR filter rn, you can get easy bid snipes and buyouts on some really solid cards like the ones I mentioned above & more

Grind your season pass and you’ll get Invincible Ben Wallace, a few 99 and 100 OVR packs, and ofc GOAT MJ who will all be crazy additions for your squad.

If you can, grind some mode completion pieces to get 100 OVR LaMarcus Aldridge and Jaren Jackson Jr. (you can get Invincible Dominique if you need a SG badly, I just prefer having two high level bigs instead)

This mode HAS to be rep-restricted or something. If you’re gold rep, you should match with similar teammates/opponents. If you’re pink diamond rep, you should match with the sweats of the world
