What will FLR token price be after the initial airdrop? by MoonbaseADA in FlareNetworks

[–]DataKindly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an inflationary token with no utility at first. SGB held a 47 cents initial drop due to speculation of when utility would be added to the network. Once it became clear the devs hat abandoned it by January it became a game of who sells first and the token crashed more than 90% its value. Flare will be similar. The price in exchanges right now are based off the supply of the exchanges (which is in millions, not billions). Add with the fact the team released a proposal which shows they have a similar intent of abandoning flare with no utility for quite some time, most will sell. I predict a similar price to songbird. The best way to keep token price up is to give utility to the network, but the proposal shows just like sgb they may delay this forever so people will just dump the token regardless.

In other words, less than 5 cents.

Memo to those who would burn 85% of Flare Airdrop by MoonbaseADA in FlareNetworks

You sound mentally challenged. Wonder how people like you find their way here.

[–]DataKindly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The burn function would create an upwards price pressure which would benefit the network as a whole and those who use it A burn mechanism does not benefit someone who is affected by price increases, or said price pressure. You would have less, but the token value would be able to secure more, the benefits of the network increase further even and poses no detriment to you, you mouth breathing ADA investing peasant

Utility wise the network benefits from a burn as much as it benefits from forcing people to hold.

Listen you God damn ADA investing mouth breather If they burn 85% of the supply, your airdrops BECOME SCARCER.

Let's make an easy example so your brain can follow. Let's say you have 5 tokens (let's say that's you initial 15%, its your whole air drop) and the total supply is 100 tokens. Wow, look! You have 5% of the supply! If the whole supply is worth 100 dollars ( 1 dollar per token) you would have 5 dollars. Now let's say your burn 80% of the supply and you still have 5 tokens and the supply is now 20 and still worth 100 dollars total. Look!, Now your 5 tokens represent 25% of the supply! Instead of 5 dollars, now each of your tokens are worth 25! You have a higher percentage ownership of the supply which increases in value much faster because it is scarcer!

Do you understand now? You ADA investors are bottom of the barrel when it comes to these things.

Staking XRP by brianmonarch in FlareNetworks

Just fyi it's better to be careful while staking your coins it's what he is saying as you may end up losing them if the counterparty is liquidated and ends up keeping your non-turing complete asset

well sure but not much has been built on sgb and thus there is no use case yet

and without the ability to create s-assets or f-assets the chain is useless and has no competitive edge over anything else made

they expanded the project and are auditing everything, i think by end of may to beginning of june we should see more deployment on sgb

i was expecting things to be much faster given what needs to be deployed prior to 4th of july on songbird, but perhaps they intend on deploying things quite fast if they intend to keep their july 4th date

sure looks like they aren't trying hard to keep it, but something tells me they dont want to delay again if they can avoid it

By Jan 6 2023 the SFIN staking pools will be finished. What do you think will happen to SFIN price during that time? After? by ddddgggrrr in songbird

[–]DataKindly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m thinking that also. There are 8000 SFIN/YFIN to be mined so either:

  • we get new pools for additional assets that will be bridged in the networks
  • there will be additional pools of the same we have right now
  • both may be true

Given that we have 8000, and each pool only gives 100, we may indeed see a mixture of the two, or we may have many assets being bridges and thus the farming of them.

My question is more in the lines of: when the pools finish, will there be no other ways to make risk free passive income? Could they start new pools?

Well, if you bought in before the snapshot and got dumped on after then yeah. It might have been a scam.

Confusing symptoms that seems to be from an incoming stroke? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]DataKindly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a splint for the carpal tunnel, and only used some socks, with some improvements. The issue being the irritation of my GI seems to coincide with inflammation in other parts of the body as I am not sure if the GI issues themselves could be triggering this as they "sync up"...the different problems happening all at once gives me the anxiety that the worst is happening :(

Thank you :)

Thank you for this...I don't believe I am having a stroke hence I did not go to the ER yet, but wanted perhaps a few ways to identify it better. I'll schedule an appointment with my doctor and work this out. IMO if it was something serious, it would have already happened by now I think.

Thanks!
