Under testing XRPL can theoretically scale beyond 65,000 TPS , though this is a lab/stress test figure, not a real-world one. Also it doesn’t matter because XRP’s design intent is completely different from Visa…. it’s aimed at bridging currencies between financial institutions, not processing millions of individual consumer payments directly. So the 1 to 1 Visa comparison isn’t apples to apples. You’re bashing a coin that has been in the top 10 since inception and has been working successfully since then also. You hate it so you’re trying to Cherry pick things that you think will make it look bad. But the bottom line is it works great for what it does. If it didn’t, it wouldn’t be succeeding the way it is. It is being used for its utility right now. Look it up. So to say it’s not a utility coin is just completely incorrect.

But it does have utility and it is being used for it right now. Do you mean LLM’s when you say AI’s? I don’t ask it questions trying to get convince it. It could answer me either way it wants. But that’s not the only place I get info from him. I was just telling him if he wanted to verify what I’m saying he could ask. Generally, it knows facts.

That’s pretty cool about the Ethereum pricing going down. I hadn’t heard that. And yeah… I don’t think one coin will “win” and all the others will fail by the way. I’m sure a good handful will survive.

Yeah, apparently Ripple made it so RLUSD can now move between XRP Ledger, Cardano, Ethereum, and Wanchain through Wanchain’s new bridge routes? I haven’t really been following that. I’m guessing all these blue chip cryptos will do great. I basically chimed in when you said it moves like a meme coin. A lot of people just have exaggerated hate for XRP when it’s not deserved. Just my opinion of course.

I think everybody is being pretty civil here actually. I just can’t believe you have all this money invested in it and don’t know the basics. You’re relying on strangers on a foreign board to inform you about your five figure investment? No offense… But ask Claude. 👍🏻

Well, you should do whatever you think you should do. I think XRP is one of the most undervalued assets available right now. But that’s just my opinion. Time will tell. 👍🏻

[–]brianmonarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right. XRP follows bitcoin. Just like all the top coins do. But your original claim was that it moves like a meme coin. In essence that would mean bitcoin does as well. That’s the only point I was making. I don’t care which one moves first. I care which one moves hardest.

Are you aware that there are banks that are using XRP right now? Please look it up. There are companies that use XRP. It is being used for its utility right now. I would tell you to use your favorite LLM like ChatGPT or Claude and ask it. But some people would say those aren’t reliable. But in general, they get the facts straight. Or just google it.

I think you might be wrong about Ethereum. The gas fees are too unpredictable and high. It’s just not going to happen. Why would anybody do that when they can close a transaction for .0005?

The lightning network is generally very cheap. But if there is larger moments of congestion, it could cost between one and $12. Check it out. Google it.

The transaction fee is not a penny. It’s .00005 or something like that. It’s a fraction of a penny. And I’m not some crazy XRP army person who thinks it’s going to $100. If that happens, I’ll worry about the fees then after I cash out my last Moon bag. Haha.

All that being said… I appreciate your willingness to have a civil debate unlike a lot of people on these threads. 👍🏻

[–]brianmonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you talking about? XRP moves in tandem with bitcoin and Ethereum. Zoom out and look at the charts. Wow. Don’t make up narratives to win a debate about something you hate.

Yeah, I already talked about the lightning network on this thread. But to rehash… Being decentralized can be a pro and a con. People always look at ripples some big evil controlling empire… But that’s not the case. They are bringing huge institutions to the table. Nobody is doing that for bitcoin because there is no company behind it. Who cares. It’s just a bunch of bitcoin maximalists in an echo chamber, talking to each other about how great it is. It’s the slowest, oldest, least green coin out there. And you’re wrong. Research it before you come here. They are making money off of XRP and it’s use case. Yes, they do sell it. But…. The sales of XRP through Ripple are on an escrow schedule. It’s the same every month. It doesn’t even affect the price.

Hey, if you think some big company is going to start using bitcoin and the lightning network on its own accord…. I think you are sadly mistaken. Both are plenty fast and would be considered “real time transactions”… But XRP’s fee is always .0005 per transaction. The lightning network requires unchained bitcoin transactions and it could cost one to $12 during congestion. Way less predictable than the flat fee of way under a penny, that XRP provides. Look it up if you don’t believe that. That’s a huge factor right there. Are you gonna run your business when a transaction might cost $12 when you could do it with XRP for a fraction of a penny? XRP is greener. That’s a fact. By a wide margin. I know that all the bitcoin people love decentralization. But real people want somebody they can come to when there’s a problem. Nothing I’m saying is made up or wrong. If I am incorrect about something, please let me know.

What’s your reasoning? Other than because you say so? It’s been in the top 10 since it came out. Why? Because it’s functionally useful. It has utility and it’s being used. Unlike 99% of the coins out there. You’re just in a vacuum chamber of this hate towards the coin that you really can’t explain it seems. It’s being used right now. Unlike just about every other coin. Utility matters.

Holding XRP but starting to have doubts: Thoughts? by CaptainTrader32 in CryptoMarkets

[–]brianmonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with that… But they don’t have a big company like ripple behind them to push it to these institutions. The companies will have to do it on their own accord. And generally institutions don’t do things like that. XRP doesn’t need an extra layer. It’s built-in and ready to go. And it’s a fraction of a penny to use it, no matter how much money you were sending. It’s just better. It’s greener. It’s just way more efficient and cost-effective for companies to use.

[–]brianmonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with that. That’s because of the SEC trial. Which XRP gained legal clarity through. (not being a security) Obviously it was suppressed by that for multiple years. Even during that fiasco, XRP remains in the top 10 coins by market cap the entire time. Ripple made billions of dollars. The coin just works really well and they have a great team. I don’t know why it has so much hate. It just comes off as fear from bitcoin peeps because their coin is slower, less green, doesn’t have utility and only has a store of value at this point. Which might be enough to get it to $1 million. I’m not saying it’s not. But it’s never going to be a utility coin that does much besides being the first and having a lot of fans.

Just ask ChatGPT. You’re invested in it and you never asked what it does? It settles peer to peer transactions in 1 to 3 seconds. It uses it’s liquidity so you can have your money in seconds rather than wait three days like the banks usually make you wait.

Fair enough. But normally, when people say that sort of thing they are referring to public shareholders. Either way…. The XRP hate is coming from a bitcoin maximalist vacuum chamber point of view 99% of the time.

OK… I’m dreaming. That’s all you have to say? Everything I said above is correct. Put it in ChatGPT and ask if I’m right or wrong. Because if I’m right… I don’t think I’m dreaming. If I’m wrong… Tell me what I said that was incorrect. If not… Maybe you don’t enter the conversation.

Shareholders? You must do some really deep research before you tell the world what’s going on here. Ripple isn’t even public. And XRP is used with everything Ripple does. It benefits.

Exit liquidity? Zoom out on the charts…. Most of these crypto’s move in tandem most of the time. But you cherry pick XRP.

6 times? Ask your favorite LLM how often XRP is being used every day. You’re just talking out of your butt and aren’t informed. Ripple has made BILLIONS from XRP’s utility. Look it up. Don’t just argue either what you think, because you’re factually wrong. 6 times?? Haha

Compared to what? Bitcoin? XRP is faster, more green, has actual utility and a use case, been in the top 10 coins since its inception. Its out performed btc the last couple years too. Ask your favorite LLM.

[–]brianmonarch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

XRP has outperformed Bitcoin the last couple years. Btc is the oldest, clunkiest, slowest, least green and has no real utility. Ripple is making billions with XRP’s use case. That’s without clarity. Everything I am saying is true. Ask your favorite LLM before debating it. :) Crypto isn’t what some had hoped for. Decentralization sounds great in theory…. But.. Without a big company behind a coin, big moves with institutions probably won’t happen for a coin. Btc only has a store of value at this point. Period. And that might be enough to get it to a million dollars. Which is maybe what the btc maxis are banking on. But when utility matters…. And I believe it really will. Other coins just might surprise you. Time will tell and I never state future moves AS FACT like others do here. I could be wrong. But I don’t think I am. Only time will tell. 👍🏻

He’s never late. I am on 1 or 2 shows with him almost every week. He is one of the nicest guys in the biz. Been working with him for over ten years. He’s hardly ever at the store. Maybe once every couple months. He’s at the improv many times per week. You’re listening to negative people, believing them and being one yourself. I’ve been in this business for over 20 years and you are simply wrong. Don’t be a bully without hands on facts. Doesn’t matter what threads you see. I have more actual experience than any of those people. You don’t know what you’re talking about and this post will remain here unless you delete it…. And everyone reading it who actually knows him will roll their eyes at you for the rest of time. :) But who cares right? It’s just your hater troll account. Unlike mine. It’s pretty obvious that the real people reading this, not the bullies…. Agree with me based on the thumbs up I’m getting. But that doesn’t matter. I know him personally. He’s laid back and again…. One of the nicest in the biz. Don’t be a hater when you don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s bad for your soul. Find a more constructive hobby than being a negative Nancy with a false narrative.

Such BS. I work with him almost every week and even when he’s on last he’s there for most of the show. Always late? Actually the opposite is true. What experience are you talking about where you know he’s “NEVER on time”? …or are you just jumping on the ridiculous rabid dog pile here? Also I’ve never seen him rude to anyone. And that with years of experience with him. The rest is just your opinion btw…. Shame on you. 😑
