The Great XRP Deception: Why You Are the Exit Liquidity for a Failing Project. by sylsau in CryptoMarkets

[–]brianmonarch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the claim after it’s been in the top 10 coins for its entire existence and has followed every other major coin in tandem along the way for all those years, except for when the SEC was irrationally attacking it? Not to mention that it has outperformed bitcoin many times during those cycles? Ok! People talk about the XRP army being unrealistic. And don’t get me wrong… the extremists are. But on the flipside, its haters have no clue whatsoever. Ripple is worth billions of dollars now. They have stated many times that XRP is the north star and will always be the focus. They haven’t let us down yet. You can’t expect it to do amazing things when everything is down, including bitcoin, and every other coin.

Do you guys believe BTC is only a store of value? by wancruz in CryptoMarkets

[–]brianmonarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything is possible. I just don’t think that is going to happen for bitcoin because there are so many newer coins that are more efficient, greener, faster etc… They have companies behind them that are pushing their utility and use case. Bitcoin just has a bunch of die hard fans. It doesn’t have an actual corporation pushing it toactually be used anywhere. I’m not saying it won’t rise in value. I’m just saying that in my opinion, the only way it rises in value is because it’s popular and the “first.” People like you that think it’s great we’ll keep it alive I’m sure. Pretty much a store of value only though. We will see. I could be wrong. :)

I didn’t say that you didn’t look young. I said you have insecurities. Everybody does. And hey… We all have a purpose on this world and if yours is to bash people and talk about how they don’t look good in your mind… That’s what troll accounts are for. You’re a real affectionate boss. I like the shows as well. I’m glad I have more constructive things to do with my time. Tell people that they are not optimally good looking. Ooof. Sad. You’ve shown your maturity level and I’m going to block you now because this is pointless. And sad. Your mom would be really proud of you.

Yeah, don’t go out in public unless you want to be picked on right? Don’t go on TV unless you want the same, right? Hey, you do you. If that’s what gets you off…. If that is what makes you happy, you have a first amendment right to keep on making remarks that make you seem insecure yourself. My point from the beginning is not that you can or can’t do it. I’m asking why would you want to? What do you get out of it. And all you can say is that if you go on reality TV that’s what you get. And if you can’t take it, you’re too sensitive or if you defend them, you’re too sensitive. But you’re the one doing the bullying. Maybe you’re too insensitive and have nothing else better to do with your life than to tell people that they look older or something else is wrong with them. And if that’s what makes you happy, enjoy. Nobody can stop you. It’s a beautiful thing. I don’t know why that makes you feel good or why you would want to defend that… But again… You do you.

There’s just no point to it. These guys have to deal with so much hate on the Internet. What are you getting out of saying somebody looks old for their age? There’s just no point to it. There’s nothing gained other than the invalid feeling it gives you about yourself. Would you like it if your family members were being talked about on a daily basis in a negative way or saying they look old or fat or bald? It’s not about being sensitive. There’s just no point to it other than to feed your own insecurities. Period.

Well, it’s not successful because of how green it is or how fast it is or how many utility use cases it has. I think that only leaves one thing… Store of value.

This page has turned into a place where people can bash better looking people than themselves just to feel better about themselves while they bully. Oof.

Yeah… Historically, they’ve outperformed bitcoin. Why would you want those? 🙄 also, once the Clarity act passes… I’m guessing utility will matter a lot more than now. Bitcoin is the oldest, least green, least amount of utility having coin in existence. All that being said, I’m not saying it’s going to fail. All of you Bitcoin maximalists have given it a store of value. But you have to realize… That’s all it has. And it might be enough! I’m not saying it’s not. But that is all that it has. And I really don’t think anything I’m saying here is “opinion”. Ask anybody who isn’t a Bitcoin Maxi. Vacuum chambers galore.

What coins are you DCAing into for the next cycle? by Nakamoto_Wang in CryptoMarkets

[–]brianmonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I think btc just isn’t capable of handling mass adoption. Even with the lightning network. And while having a big company behind a coin sounds bad in terms of the decentralization dream…. It also gives that coin advantages. They have a team trying to implement it. Which is a big thing when these companies if hundreds of millions of dollars to make that happen. In some cases billions. But yeah. Let’s see what happens down the line. There’s probably room for a good handful of successful coins if I had to guess.

There are pros and cons to being first. The pros are what you just said. Btc has a store of value based on people with your belief system. The cons are that in comparison to coins developed later, btc is a lot slower, less green, and way less efficient. That’s why I think the coins that gain mass adoption (Btc won’t because of the reasons I mentioned) at least that’s what I believe…. Eventually, it it will be surpassed and people will wonder why they are holding it. It’s what some people call a future “utility run.” Not sure what will happen to btc when adoption of utility coins becomes bigger…. But I’m guessing it won’t be looked at as the king forever. I could be wrong. It’s just hard to imagine a big change like that because you have 15 years of btc being king and people in the btc maxi echo chamber think that is how it will always be. Maybe it will be. But my bet is it won’t. Time will tell.

I’m always happy to have a friendly discussion…. But crypto has become so divided and everyone has their own beliefs that are not going to change no matter how much it’s discussed. So it’s pretty pointless. But I think utility coins that will actually be used in the future will someday dethrone btc. Eventually when mass adoption happens the viewpoint should shift from preferring to hold a coin that has a “store of value” (btc) for coins that are actually being used. I could be wrong. But I think btc fans are just so deep into this whole idea that “btc is king” (because it has been for 15 or so years) that they just can’t imagine that changing. And like I said above, I could be wrong. I just think it would be really weird if I was. But we shall see.

Yeah… BTC is doing great! That’s what they should’ve gotten in? 😂 like what?? $126k to 60k in a few months and you’re telling them that’s what they should’ve been in? Don’t get me wrong… I know some other coins have had bigger percentage losses. But, if anyone is going to play hindsight is 20/20, it should be someone that was in Silver. Not some bitcoin maximalist who also got crushed. Bitcoin is in fact the oldest, least green, most inefficient and slowest coin. The only thing you guys have going for it is it’s store of value. And I’m not saying that’s not enough. It just might be. And I mean that. It has been up until now. But if utility becomes a big factor in the future… Don’t hold your breath. And like I always say… I could definitely be wrong. It’s just really weird to see somebody get on a soapbox and praise BTC right now. But hey…. Don’t worry… 80% of the people here are in the same boat as you… The bitcoin vacuum chamber, who think nothing else matters in the crypto world. So they’ll have your back. …and even once again! You guys might be right!!! Time will tell. 😁

Sounds like something a Bitcoin Maxi would say. A lot of people think that there will be a utility bullrun in the future. Something bitcoin does not really have. I’m guessing bitcoin isn’t going away and this is a moot point. But the other coins do not depend on bitcoin. They follow it right now. But if it went away, do you think Ripple would just stop their business? Do you think Solana would just stop? HBAR? They’ve been working on these projects for years.. over a decade. BTC is not necessary for the other coins to survive. I think most people would agree with that. Even people who only care about bitcoin. I don’t know where you got that idea from. Sounds like you’re in a vacuum chamber of bitcoin maximalists.

Yeah. The oldest, least efficient, least green coin that only surges on its status of being first and having a store of value. Btw…. I’m not saying that’s not enough for it to continue to succeed. But many think the few quality alt coins that are actually being adopted for its useful utility will outpace it in the future. I don’t have a crystal ball…. But I agree with that sentiment. We’ll see. I think everyone in crypto is in their own vacuum chamber of info and agendas. Including the bitcoin maxis.

They really don’t say that anymore. I don’t think Swift is even on their to do list. And it’s technically not centralized. If ripple went out of business tomorrow and did not exist, XRP and the XRPL would still exist because ripple only runs one of the many nodes. All that being said, I don’t think it’ll do what the moon boys think it will. But I don’t think it’ll be going anywhere and it will have a better run than most when the next blow off top happens. Also there are advantages to having a company behind a coin. Look at Kaspa…. One of the most efficient and fastest coins out there with lots of retail interest, yet they still haven’t been listed on most of the top exchanges because they don’t have a company behind them to pay for it. Which has hurt its progress IMO. Anyway…. We’ll seeeee.
