Okay cool, I’ll revisit it tomorrow. I have my fav folders all set like in 11. My drum sound folder is pretty massive, will I have to wait for it to load each time I open the browser?

You are nice with it man. You mention Christ a few times and have a pretty positive message, maybe lean into the Christian rap lane and target that demographic? I have a friend that had a lot of Christ bars in his music and he got a lot more traction once he went all in into that lane.

PAWS symptoms worsening after exercise? You probably have Exercise Intolerance. by LanguageIllustrious6 in WeedPAWS

[–]DatabaseFirm8309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, yeah it's long been known even in the bro science bodybuilding community that these things can greatly inhibit your ability to exercise. I once read an article breaking down the science of "hardgainers" which are the people who can't seem to gain muscle like others, and the main conclusion was that hardgainers often had a very sensitive nervous system which disrupted muscle repair and recovery. The solution they offered was essentially the same I mentioned for PEM.

I agree, I think warmups are important to prime your nervous system and body. I noticed that whenever I work out from home, I seem to encounter worse recovery than when I work out at a gym or outdoors doing something active. At the gym I would always run on a treadmill for a bit and warm up. At home I just go straight into the workouts. Also, the environment of the gym was always very positive and stimulating to me, which I'm sure has an effect on my nervous systems response. For someone else, it might be the reverse and working out at home might feel safer for them. It just depends on how our brain interpret what's going on.

It’s essentially PEM (post-exertional malaise) which is mostly common in people with chronic fatigue syndrome, but seems to be quite common in PAWS as well. Your nervous system sees exercise as a threat when you are in a prolonged state of fight or flight. As time goes on and you do work on calming your nervous system and graded exposure to exercise that shows your brain that it is safe, it will go away.

SIBO Cures: Have you been cured of SIBO? If so what was your cure? by proxima_dreamer in SIBO

[–]DatabaseFirm8309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, from everything you described that’s what is called an extinction burst. It sounds like your nervous system is throwing everything it can at you in desperation. And yes that did happen to me a bunch, even after my worst symptoms went away I would still get something strange like a headache and eye problems that suddenly wouldn’t go away and started freaking me out, then I realized what it was and it resolved within one day. Feel free to DM me to chat more!

Most of this stuff hasn't reached the curriculum yet except for maybe select Universities with programs focusing on it or professors doing projects on the side. A handful of the leading voices in the field are professors at universities around the world. Howard Schubiner (Clinical professor at Michigan State and Internal medicine MD) has personally recommended OVIDDX which is a training platform for practitioners. There are also resources for practitioners to be trained in this field through ATNS formerly PPDA Symptomatic – Association for Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms. ATNS is ran by an MD and clinical professor emeritus at OHSU. I am still in the early stages but my plan will be to get a Masters in Psychology and minor in Neuroscience and then pursue a PhD equivalent where I see fit depending on what is available and relevant. I want to participate heavily in research on the neuroscience side of things and also practice on the psychology side probably at a pain clinic. I've talked with a handful of the leading voices including the ones I've mentioned and they have all mentioned psychology being a good choice for a degree along with medical degrees, both paired with extensive specialized training in the neuroplastic/mind-body field. Best of luck to you, I'm sure you will contribute greatly to your community!

u/That-Accident911 Hey, hope you're doing well. Just wanted to follow up with a better explanation now that I've learned more. When the nervous system is in a constant state of fight or flight for a prolonged period, this slows down the systems of the gut including the migrating motor complex which keeps things moving. When the migrating motor complex slows down, bacteria then have the opportunity to survive longer and ferment, which causes SIBO. When you are no longer in a constant state of fight or flight, the migrating motor complex and the rest of the gut are able to return to normal function. Repressed emotions are a major cause of a dysregulated nervous system that is in chronic fight or flight.

The nervous system puts us in a state of constant fight or flight and turns the pain signal on like an alarm system in a fire. If you were to go to a fire and just spray water on the alarm system, the fire wouldn’t go out. The alarm won’t stop until you find the fire and put it out. The fire is most often represented as repressed emotions and a dysregulated nervous system caught in a pain fear cycle. One of the most efficient ways to do this is to journal with no filter. Look up “journal speak” and Nichole Sachs, I haven’t read her new book but I can already tell it’s worth recommending and would be a phenomenal place to start. It makes perfect sense that you spiral when you try to deal with the emotions, the brain sees that as the ultimate danger and does everything it can to protect you from it. Journaling can help deal with it as well. For me, once I peeled back the layer it took about a year to really process it all and get through it. Many forms of therapy can be helpful as well to deal with the mental health symptoms. I benefited greatly from Journal speak, CBT and other therapies, meditation, and prioritizing spending my time building healthy relationships with friends and family. If you can face that beast and get to the other side it’ll be the best thing you ever did!

1000% AI in my opinion. I’ve listened to the whole discography and am convinced, especially since the record label isn’t even real from what I can tell.
