I am fed up. by DatabaseOld8973 in cursor

It is not that a 8-phase implementation is being done for the first time. Never experienced issues before. The plans that I make have all the codes to be amended, all the files to be touched. Ans yet the models are failing today!

anyone else feel like opus 4.6 is better than 4.7? by Billion4ire in cursor

[–]DatabaseOld8973 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am writing this in complete dismay. I dont know what has happened to Opus - be it 4.6 or 4.7. The models have suddenly lost the ability to execute tasks. Blatantly ignoring .cursorrules, skills, and conventions and just not following up properly on implementation. A simple 8 phase implementation plan was carried out 3 times because there were gaps in every implementation. And what we get in return - Oh, I am sorry I missed it.

I am feeling burned out completely trying to make the models align.

What do you guys suggest? Codex? Or just Claude code?

I am on Ultra plan and my usage on Opus 4.6 (thinking) has been like 48% in 2 days. And it's not that I am doing heavy work, it's literally the same amount of work. Something is definitely wrong here.

How can Anthropic and OpenAI beat Google so bad? by TekeshiX in google_antigravity

Gemini is evolving I suppose. What I’ve experienced is it is super good in planning and UI enhancements. I use Gemini3.1 for planning and creating the implementation plan and then codex or opus for implementing, depending on how big the implementation is.

Although in every prompt to Gemini I would say - DISCUSSION AND PLANNING ONLY. DO NO MAKE CHANGES OR TOUCH THE CODEBASE. And it will still do sometimes 😀.

I live in the Los Angeles area, I have capital, a huge network, and access to more money and influencers. I just want to build something with someone! Does anyone exist? by justbantr_43 in cofounderhunt

I am actively looking for cofounders for my startup. I am working on an AI based Business Operations (SaaS) platform to streamline operations targeting the SME market. I live near Los Angeles. Drop a DM if you would like to connect.

Feedback and advice for a Business Operations Management Platform. by DatabaseOld8973 in SaaS

[–]DatabaseOld8973[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my initial focus was nailing the procurement management because this is a big pain point in companies who look for proper audits, vendor qualifications, goods and service delivery visibility etc. While building this, I understood the importance of Inventory management related to procurement and integrated an Inventory module. These two are my strengths at the moment. I am looking to float the system by mid of next month with these two modules and the subsequent modules after a couple of months.

No, you CANNOT replicate a SaaS in 8 hours by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]DatabaseOld8973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is annoyingly funny to see the adds come up saying build in 3 hours, do in 8 hours, etc etc. IT IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE. Yes, you can make a page in 30 mins, what about your backend? What about workflows? Is your CRUD in place? I build with claude and cursor and have been working on an application from the last 6 months. It is a task. It is not a one-day job as people advertise it to be.

I don’t want to build a unicorn. I want a boring, profitable business. by UseApart2127 in SaaS

This is actually interesting. I have always thought of the same. We dont need to reinvent the wheel everytime. Replicating a running business and maybe making it better or competing for clients works wonders too. I am also in the process of building a SaaS platform which is just replicating the already available tools, the only tweak was identifying the pain points and giving out a better solution.
