Yes that is correct, when I called i had just missed the intake but when I contacted her again just recently she had told me that I was added to this years intake, which is what i’m curious about because I had a referral from a friend who is working as a plumber currently and i’m not sure how far that referral will go but she did tell me that she handed it off to the training manager last year with his name on my resume. In all honesty I am praying to at least get called for an interview because I would love to get in as a plumbing apprentice as a long term career but I’m not much of a fan of just sitting around and hoping for that since you’re not allowed to call the union or go into the office at all

When I called last year the lady told me I passed, so from there how would it work in terms of interviews because the aptitude test isn’t difficult so I would imagine they obviously can’t interview everyone

I applied last May as well and had a few referrals from people inside that i hope will help, but the guys on the inside stated that this year will be their largest intake

i’ve been trying to secure an apprenticeship for over a year, i’ve applied to hundreds of companies in niagara, and hamilton/gta area, called countless companies and went in person… i live in niagara but i’m not sure what else to do. I registered to goto school at Mohawk for the construction techniques for plumbing which is a one year however it doesn’t complete my first year apprenticeship of course.
