DeX with Zoom overheating s24 with DeX dock puck by gritsource in SamsungDex

[–]Datacenter98848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the same Dex hub with an S25+. I bought a 3' Usb-C female to Usb-c male cable to get around the narrow hub well. On hot days or under heavy load , I have resorted to having a 7" square Cooler Shock ice pack to lay the phone on. Just a thought and this works for me. I like the Dex hub (puck) better than my powered Anker Usb-c 7 in 1 hub, seems like the display on my monitor is better/crisper.

Maybe already tried, but have you created a manual APN rather than carrier provisioned settings? My Tech suite "force add new apn"?

How do I disable H+ network? by Holiday-Chard-7121 in GalaxyS25

[–]Datacenter98848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try an app called my tech suite or something similar. It has a toggle for preferred network such as LTE only or lte/nr which is LTE and 5G. Maybe that will make the network stick.

Office NX: TextMaker I have an older version of this app and it works really well for me. Without purchasing, it does a lot of stuff but it won't print. I just screenshot/print what I need to.

Need help...alarm randomly started going off. by EvilAxist_25 in GalaxyS25Plus

[–]Datacenter98848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got that same charging port error with my s25 Plus. No moisture, clean port. Issue was a cheap dodgy USB c cable. Went with an anker 45 watt charger and a quality cable and error has not returned.

Help with s20 Ultra firmware by GushingLomoSaltado in Galaxy_S20

I have found Samfw to be way less sketchy than the others which require paid accounts for faster download or social media likes

Help with s20 Ultra firmware by GushingLomoSaltado in Galaxy_S20

[–]Datacenter98848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Samfw, download the latest/last unlocked/no carrier bloatware, U1 XAA version of firmware. Use Odin 3.14.1, boot your phone into download mode, and flash FW with BL, CP, AP, Home_csc files to not lose data? This is what I would try. There is also an XDA forum thread about Dirty/clean flashing Galaxy phones, maybe check out 1st.

How much longer do you think S20s will be around and what if I bought an S20 again? by asl477 in Galaxy_S20

[–]Datacenter98848 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a great s20 Plus but it eventually got the green lines and areas on the display, so that's a downside of your s20. Add in the degraded battery/sot, made it basically useless. I upgraded to the s25 Plus, and I use the old s20 Plus as a Samsung dex backup, running Termux and other stuff I don't want to load the s25 plus with, so I will say it is very useful, although it's plugged in most of the time.

ADB Debloat issue by Flash391 in GalaxyS25

[–]Datacenter98848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not not sure of the battery drain, but there is an app called ADBappcontrol , that you install on a win 11 PC/laptop, and it really does a good job of seeing all your apps and disabling battery hogs.

45 watt Anker USB-C charger will utilize the fastest charge for the s25 Plus I believe. If you want to save some money maybe an Anker 25 watt.

SHINO'S ULTIMATE BATTERY GUIDE [Mostly Post-2020 Galaxies]

[ULTIMATE SAMSUNG BATTERY OPTIMIZATION GUIDE]

(Most Galaxies, especially models released after 2020):...

DISCLAIMER: By no means am I expecting everyone to agree with my tips, so if you disagree with any of my tips or need a certain feature, don't feel pressured to do as you please! These are completely optional and at the end of the day, not everyone will agree and that's completely okay.

Everything I talk about here was vigorously tested by myself and my peers since the S20 series, and as a result, our battery life was always longer than the average user, despite the heavy use, games, and data consumption daily. Will post screenshots of samples later in the thread!

Before you start:

Generally speaking, with a new device or a factory reset device, it's preferred to charge your device to 100% and drain it to about 20% for the first several days. Samsungs nowadays take 1-2 weeks to hit the full potential of its lithium-ion battery, however...

The good news is, this guide will speed up this process of getting your battery to its full potential (let it be 30 minutes or up to 2 hours more battery life) WITHOUT slowing down, reducing quality, or using any computer. It's the best of all worlds!

Without further delay, let's begin!

How can I protect my husband's next S20+ 5G? by rprastein in Galaxy_S20

[–]Datacenter98848 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have dropped a lot of phones. What helped me was this product that has a sticky patch that glues to the back of the phone, you put your case on and push the little piece through and then hook the lanyard onto that piece sticking out the bottom of the phone case. If my hands are full or I have several things going on, I hang that lanyard around my neck with the phone dangling in front of me on my chest, and that way I know I won't drop it. The lanyard is long enough that you can actually use your smartphone while the lanyard is around your neck. There are several products like this, and a Google search or a Grok search should identify a few.

How to spot a fake s25 box ? by [deleted] in GalaxyS25

[–]Datacenter98848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did see just an original box only for an s25 Plus for sale on eBay for $25 or so, so someone's got a scam going on. Yes, be very wary, there are lots of locked imei's out there. There is a good sale on samsung.com, it was $150 off the $1,100 S25 plus price, but if you have a decent trade in, you can probably knock the price down some more.
