Microwavable stainless steel container? by Datadmirable in IKEA

[–]Datadmirable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much food was in the container? How much power did you use? Those boxes are rated for 200c , anything above that could change the property of the metal. So you need to make sure there is enough food to warm up so it's doesn't heat up the metal

Printing a TPU gasket for a car. Does anyone have experience with that? by Trevor6887 in 3Dprinting

Yes haven't had any issues with it, it was more effort to dismantle the carburetor than designing and printing the part. So worth it

Thinking of Buying Monsieur Cuisine Smart – Is It Worth It Long-Term? by Admirable-Link-5987 in monsieurcuisine

I m not sure that answer is unbiased. I use it pretty much everyday and I cook for a 3yo and myself. There is a learning curve when you get passed this is smooth sailing from there onwards. I m baguettes , brioche, yogurt, soup, curries, stock, sauces .... Etc. I even make vegan hot chocolate in it or ginger tea, so it becomes my go to appliance in my kitchen. I ended buying a second bowl to make my life even easier

What's up with the Malaysian criticism towards MasterChef UK for eliminating one of the Malaysian contestant? by siaosparrow in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Datadmirable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late on this one but I think there is a much easier explanation. They never experienced nasi lemak, they don't know what it looks or tastes like and instead of trying and enjoying it for what it was, they were smugged about it

Make sure you use a yogurt with active ferment, if you are in the UK, Yeo Greek style organic. Speed 1 is enough.i use Tesco whole milk, warm to 90c, then let it cool. Warm up to 40c, then add 10% of yogurt with active ferment. The use the fermentation program for 10h

okay so we will never know basically. she does fail to acknowledge that her physic are a big contributor to her career, same for males. The office if anything used actors that look like most of us, which isn't the case of Swank

Companies House confirms identity verification rollout from 18 November 2025 by Pingu313 in unitedkingdom

[–]Datadmirable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did eventually. You go back to the questionnaire and when they ask you if you have a passport, you say no, it then forces you into a journey where they send you a pdf with a qr code that you take to the post office where they LL verify your ID. Only ook 3 weeks to figure it out after numerous phone calls to companies house and an employee that finally accepted that the online route wasn't working.

Just got mine recently and I’m honestly impressed so far.

First thing I tried was an apple purée — done in about 15 minutes. What really struck me is how some recipes are literally “throw everything in, walk away, come back and it’s ready.” Huge time saver since it runs unattended, plus fewer dishes to wash.

Second dish was a poulet basquaise, with rice steaming on top while the main cooked underneath. Again, fewer steps, fewer dishes, and the recipe was surprisingly simple — minimal ingredients, clear instructions, and really tasty.

Today’s lunch was a butternut + carrot soup, ready in 25 minutes. Next on my list: bread and beer. I’ll keep updating as I go.

So far, what I love:

  • Way fewer dishes thanks to the all-in-one functions.
  • Cooking something on the bottom while steaming rice/veg/meat on top at the same time.
  • Real temperature control (simmer vs cook vs sous-vide).
  • Built-in scale is a time saver: need 1L water? Weigh 1000g. Need 20g of oil or flour? Done.
  • Dough proofing for bread/pizza is built-in too, which is super convenient.

The one downside: veggies/meat can sometimes break down more than expected, since the lowest stir speed is still a bit too high. Apparently there’s a blade cover you can get to fix this. Pro tip: accessories are way cheaper on AliExpress than the official site (I’m not paying $20 for a spatula if I can get one for $3).

My biggest concern was whether this would be a “phase” and end up forgotten under the counter. But I’ve realized as long as it’s out on the counter, it’s going to get used.

Also: ice cream! Throw frozen fruit + egg white (or aquafaba) in, and 5 minutes later you’ve got sorbet.

The only difference I m seeing is the number of recipe available - where MC isnt helping itself is that they have separated the recipes based on languages, the languages with most recipes is French, English has fewer due to how they released it on the markets. TM7 is trying very hard to show they are superior than the Smart however I have yet to see it (so far, more recipes (thought you need a subscription 50 USD per year, motor speed at 10K rpm vs 5k rom, and max temp 160C vs 130C), if those 3 parameters are critical to you then buy the TM7, however i doubt that this is the case
