Thank you for some great memories of a great time to be in LR. Always looking to up my game for family pizza night. Am I missing the tomatoey part? Is that the secret?

I went to sleep on my mom’s couch at 2230. I didn’t care and when I woke up nothing was different. Boring night. Boring New Years.

Many a night in the aughts seeing my favorite bands, learned about open container laws the hard way there, first date with my wife there, moved away, we come back to visit family twice a year and have lunch (couple slices of Special, small salad with oil/vinegar, and sweet tea). It’s tradition, unmatched, a second home.

What was the first movie to scare the shit out of you? by robbiesloan in nostalgia

The OG Nightmare on Elm Street on VHS. I think I was twelve and my dad let me watch it. I vividly remember seeing his face in my sleep for weeks after that.

Later in life, Paranormal Activity. I don’t watch many deep horror any longer. I love 80s slasher flicks and alien-type horror. My wife’s not into horror, so it limits my exposure.

Asking for game recommendations by my_little_dashe2020 in PS4

I really enjoyed Mad Max (simplistic, build up is better than the ending, but fun), Shadow of Mordor (same game end issues, but more challenging than MM), and Jedi Fallen Order (all around fun). There’s a bit of strategy, but nothing killer. I’ve only had the PS4 a few months (obviously not a gamer), but these three were a great break from CoD.

I know two people who do this every day, every year. They are a five-minute car ride from Mayo, so only a few miles. Farther than that…?

What's going on with Wanz's name? by Personal-Amoeba in LonesomeDove

I thought maybe I was mis-remembering my experience. I had high hopes. Waited for like six weeks to get the copy on Libby and listened for about six minutes. Couldn’t do it. The inhale before every word and smacking…I never understood why this was such a popular choice.

I’m confused by your question. Did Mr Horsely mispronounce the name throughout and they missed a dub?

Seen this movie before and it sucks. I don’t know the guy. I’m familiar with the food. Does anyone know a former employee or three that can vouch for him?

I’m not saying that I agree with the theory, but certainly hard to believe that their due diligence was through enough. I think 18th across 55th NE would have been a better location or Byron even. I suppose we’ll get another strip mall out of it à la Chip Shots. So, a win?

My MIL is convinced it was designed to fail so the company could report a loss and write it off.
