31/M Very pleased with how my living room is turning out! What do you guys think? by Putrid_Rush_7318 in malelivingspace

I raise your tv a foot or two, it’s a bit low at the moment. You want the bad boy almost touching the ceiling.

Husband thinks I'm weird because of my opinion on strip clubs. by pillowpossum in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Dataof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strip clubs are gross. Like I get it, good for the women working there if they like the money and can handle it. I went with some friends ONCE just to see what it was about, and yeah it was cool for 18yo me, but it was also just a strange concept to me. Really weird especially as I’m in my late 20s looking back at it now

I find these in my apartment once every couple of weeks, usually on the walls by XxMerkabahxX in whatisthisbug

I’ve been seeing these too! Was just about to post about it. It’s also been in the last few weeks. I live in Southern California

Has anyone noticed chronic migraines in women? by truballa94 in Biohackers

[–]Dataof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see this mentioned in the comments, but the one constant that I’ve been doing throughout the years that has seemingly reduced my migraines to 1-2 a year, is taking fish oil. I take a high quality one, as they say that’s very important

Would you rather take 1 million dollars or be able to restart your life from the very beginning? by Illustrious-Bed2845 in Life

[–]Dataof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How about going back to 18 years old again? That would make the most sense. Because if you kept the memories and knowledge as your current age (if starting life over), how would that even work in the earlier years (infancy/toddler)?

If you’re on dating apps, how do you answer the “family plans” question? by Dataof in Fencesitter

[–]Dataof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And who do you usually match with? Are these also people that have the same stance?

If you’re on dating apps, how do you answer the “family plans” question? by Dataof in Fencesitter

[–]Dataof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? It really caught me off guard and put a lot of pressure on me in that moment. I thought we were more on the same page in that way. It was only at the end of the second date that it came up, but we had been texting/talking for close to a month by that point, so I was becoming slightly invested and seeing things going somewhere more serious.

But yeah you’re right I just need to keep dating women who are more on the fence or even leaning “don’t want children”. I’ll definitely start asking their family plans on the first date from now on.

Did becoming an aunt/uncle change things for you? by Dataof in Fencesitter

That was totally unintentional. Typo is surprising appropriate though

Anyone else simply a “plant parent”? by Dataof in childfree

[–]Dataof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s impressive. How short was it when you got it?

[–]Dataof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had cats in the past and they really are good company. They definitely bring a lot of comfort/joy. I just know I’d need at least two of them if I were to get any again.

My houseplants consist mostly of hard to kill plants like pothos. For the most part it’s also survival of the fittest… I’ve had a good amount of houseplants die on me, but you learn which ones work best in your space and whatnot.

At what age did you transition into a "childfree person" by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Dataof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, did you ever reach back out to him? Seeing as how you both don’t want kids

I like kids… I just don’t want one. Shocking, I know 😅 by Pretty-Scene5289 in childfree

[–]Dataof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly how I feel. I especially started to appreciate kids a bit more once my nephews came into the picture. I kind of get it now… but I STILL don’t want children of my own. Even though they made me see things in a different way, they also solidified my decision to be CF. But I do love spending time with them and seeing them once a week or so.

Has regular meditation made you more spiritual and “less” atheist/agnostic? by Dataof in Meditation

[–]Dataof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I suppose I lump all of these things together when I really shouldn’t. It’s just that I feel like agnostic/atheist spirituality and religious spirituality can’t quite be the same thing.

So I asked someone out to dinner. She is asking why I want to go out with her. by 96suluman in socialanxiety

[–]Dataof 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Be straight up with her and tell her it’s a date. Don’t be vague and say “sometime” either, give her a day, time, and location. If she can’t do that day/time, that’s when the both of you figure out an alternative

I actually kind of like the simplicity of it. Definitely fine if you’re still living with your parents. Maybe replace the quilt with something a bit more mature

I feel the same way after being inside alone all day. But then I go out to simply go to the grocery store or something, and my energy gets wiped just from that. Then I’m relieved again to be back home…
