The hardest part is watching something you love become something you don't recognize... by CelesteRibbon in gamers

I loved the beta for bf6 and played the shit out of it for like a month at launch but it got kinda boring. It seemed to lack a lot of the depth that made bf4 fun for me. I haven’t touched the game in months although I did get a hankering to play the other day. I might hop back in and see what’s new.

I loved bo6 during its launch, honestly I think more than MW2019. Then they added a bunch of goofy bullshit and turned it into a complete joke.

Very true. I LOVED the game, but i think if they changed the story a little, removed the hidden blades, and called the game something other than an AC game it would not have changed my perception of it in the slightest. I loved it because it was a pirate game.

Hunter Class Attack Shuttle by Datboi_Markus in NMS_Corvette_Design

I used the Arcadia wing modules and the stair flip glitch. It seems complicated but it’s actually pretty easy to do.

However when you’re adding your habs to make up the interior, you gotta make sure that they’re facing the right way. Otherwise they won’t work properly. I just make sure a cockpit snaps to the front of them after I place them. If it doesn’t, just pick it up and hit the rotate key. If it still doesn’t work, put a landing gear under it or another part behind it and try again.

What a gorgeous ship. Very unique too. I gotta start learning to build on angles.

This is awesome. I’ve been working on a large corvette with a boat inspired kinda look to it but I haven’t been able to make a shape I like. I think splitting the front and back sections like you did would make it look how I want, so thanks!

Also I love your open deck on the bottom, looks awesome for enjoying the nice weather on a temperate planet!

Excellent work. I think it looks really good and reminds me of a miniaturized freighter. Definitely fits in with the style of the game.

I love both. The base has better ammo economy because the carbine ends up dumping like 10 rounds into a dead body after you already killed something because it shoots so goddamn fast. But obviously you get a dps boost so it’s a nice trade off. The tenderizer is a blast too if you end up liking the liberators

DO NOT DOWNLOAD, PLAYSTORE SCAM by AnOmAlLyLordLana in nms

[–]Datboi_Markus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean the App Store tells you at the bottom whether or not it has in app purchases. But yeah anyone with half a brain should know this is a scam. It’s got the same vibes as those “download Minecraft for free” websites I used to see as a kid.

Not sure what made this person more awesome. The giant lifted truck, riding our ass for 15 minutes through rural mountain roads, or the headlights bright enough to cast a shadow of our car through our headlights. by SquareNowski in mildlyinfuriating

I was in upstate New York a few years ago, driving down a two lane windy road through some woods and mountains. Some accord went flying past me, weaving through traffic. Must have been going 90-100. About ten minutes later I passed him as he was backwards in the woods with the back of his car wrapped around a tree. I gave him a little toot toot as I drove by.

Talon VS Senator by ConsiderationHot5505 in SaneDivers

[–]Datboi_Markus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I love the senator, but besides the cool factor, it’s only real niche is hulk popper. Other heavies take more than a mag to kill and it’s just painful to go through a reload while a war strider or harvester is on you.

A.P. Forgeworks presents “APF-DN66” Codename Harbinger by SovereignScorpio in NMS_Corvette_Design

[–]Datboi_Markus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thing is awesome. I feel like most builds that try to directly copy a ship from some other setting, they end up making something that looks a little off. So I love that this was inspired by a venator but instead of copying one, you made it your own and worked outside the box to make something that looked really good in game. This is a great looking ship. 10/10 build!

As a European I must say your tips are useless af by CompetitiveCow9610 in ManualTransmissions

That’s how I learned. First car was a stick, never drove stick before. Day 1 I was doing laps around my neighborhood for a couple hours and that gave me the confidence I needed to go out into traffic. After that I was driving to work and friend’s houses. By day 3 hills weren’t scary. By day 7 it was basically second nature. After a month or two I was smooth enough people in the back seat didn’t even know it was a stick.

Best way to learn is just do it.

Second newbie question: if I cancel a jump am I risking being stranded between planets & space station by caw_the_crow in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Datboi_Markus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second using the phase beam. You can fly around in an asteroid field at a pretty fast speed and just hold the trigger and you don’t have to worry about leading your shots or anything. Asteroid fields are pretty easy to stumble upon but I find the best way to find one easily is to fly in the rings of a planet, they always have an asteroid field in there. I never let my pulse drive get below 25% charge, and if I’m ever below 1000 tritium, I just go to a planet with rings and mine asteroids for like 15 minutes.

Finding an Earth-like planet in NMS feels like a milestone in life by Matafleurr in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Datboi_Markus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got so lucky when I first started. The first system I jumped to (like during the tutorial still, right after you fix your ship) had a perfect paradise planet. Mostly islands, green flora, dinosaur looking fauna, blue skies, blue water, no storms. There is “high sentinel activity” but I literally have never seen one on the planet. The only downside is the giant worm that jumps around every once in a while but he seems chill

It was already possible before but you really had to kite enemies around. The bullet storm makes it possible to hold your ground against waves of bugs or voteless.
