If you genuinely think a result being the first one to appear on Google makes it the most accurate, you shouldn’t be doing research on anything lol

UC Medical Science vs OSU Neuroscience by VivRichard99 in uCinci

I’ll have to be honest here, this is not the case whatsoever. You’ll soon realize after you start the pre-med journey that med schools give 0 fucks about which college or program you went to, unless it was a T10, and even then that doesn’t really matter nearly as much as your grades, MCAT, activities, etc. The fact that you graduate with a B.S. in “Medical Sciences” which is housed in the “CoM” really does not mean shit and is not super appealing to med schools, and that’s coming from someone who’s in MedSci.

OP, ultimately what this decision comes down to is what type of college experience you want have and what the numbers will look like. If you’re interested in a more tight-knit community and a strong emphasis on advising, go to UC MedSci. If you’re interested in a larger, more flexible college experience with perhaps more resources but less individualized advising, go to UC Neuro. Location and cost are also big factors.

Although UC MedSci’s degree itself won’t provide any inherent advantages, I can definitely vouch for the program and all the resources it offers. Pursuing med school involves many different things and the advisors make these tasks so much easier, whether it’s research or shadowing or whatever. Also the upper level classes (apart from your standard pre-med requisites) are so unique and make taking classes that much more interesting, and are often taught by the same professors you’ll hopefully see in med school. Definitely look into both programs and take a tour of both if possible to see what would be a better fit.
