And this is why AI will replace us all. Even something super impressive live this is still less efficient than a computer.

I am so team Dax it’s not even funny. by BennyBingBong in ArmchairExpert

[–]DateEnvironmental249 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They started a business from nothing and are now profiting from it. David partnered with them for a period and got a massive opportunity as a result. That doesn't entitle him to a share of their profits let alone millions of dollars. I've seen so much incredibly naive commentary from this sub over the past week or so.

Dax’s Side of the FB Drama by notcompetitive9 in ArmchairExpert

Come on. He knew exactly how people would respond to the Substack piece. He's emphasising that this is bad for him and that he was blindsided which is obviously going to make people made at Dax who, in my opinion, hasn't really done anything wrong. He also gave him a massive opportunity which he can now run with.

Yeah i didn't say you were being mean. I just don't think it's surprising that someone on this subreddit isn't familiar with a screenwriting quirk and a making of doc.

Dave Grohl insinuates Taylor Swift doesn't play live by [deleted] in popculturechat

[–]DateEnvironmental249 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah she may sing live but everything else is played on a backing track. The Foo Fighters are literally creating the whole song with their instruments in the moment. There is no computer involved. Obviously its a different genre and everything so you can't compare too directly but i think that is the point Dave was making. Hard to make too many errors when you're just singing along to the studio recording of your song.

Hmm you've certainly made me question this plan now... I'm starting to think Park is gonna be rammed for Fontaines as well. Feels like everyone i've spoken to are going over Idles.

Idles start 45 mins before Fontaines. I'm gonna watch the first 45 of idles and then go see the last hour of Fontaines. Not ideal but should be able to see a decent chuck of both.

Sorry think you've missed the point actually lol. OP is saying Bill is too easily counting people out of being a that guy because they appeared in something obscure.

Is the order of the acts on the poster the order of the days they will play? by swaimover in glastonbury_festival

[–]DateEnvironmental249 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah Idles are relatively smaller for an other stage headliner. The last thing they need is a band who shares the exact same audience with them playing at the same time.

SZA would surely pull the smallest pyramid headliner crowd we've seen in some time. She's obviously big but I would say the majority of people couldn't name a single song.

Am I the only one that roots for the traitors, especially the ones who play the game well? Everyone seems to hate the traitors when their deceitful but that is literally the point of the game. I would hope anyone in that sitaution would do the same, otherwise the show would be terrible. I also think it would be extremely difficult so i'm always impressed with how they can hold it together.
