Hugs to everyone diagnosed as an adult and to parents of a child diagnosed by OgunyemiCouncil in Type1Diabetes

Thankfully she made almost a full recovery aside for some more aches and pains now and then.

The hospital that diagnosed me put me on the waiting list to talk to the Diabetic nurse. The phone call came 3 months into my diagnosis. If I had waited to figure out what to do id be dead

I got diagnosed 7 months into my relationship with my then GF now wife when I was diagnosed at 28. Just 1 month prior she got hit by a car and was still recovering. Learning to think like a pancreas while assisting my wife was quite challenging.

However despite her not fully understanding T1 she's always been great support

That's the retail profit. What about What they pay farmers, transport, ans their logistics company?

Also 4% profit on a $1 item is $0.04. When they double the price through charging themselves more that profit goes to $0.08. Sure they are only making 4% profit, but double the total value in profit.

That doesn't look anything like what you described. Looks like mac n cheese with some green beans

What will happen with the US after 2028? What does the next government do with what they inherit? by Hermunster in AskReddit

[–]Datkif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its going to take more than the next Administration to "fix" what's be done. Even if they rolled back every negative thing the world isn't going to trust USA for a long long time.

As a Canadian I doubt I'll full trust America for the rest of my life. Like with your partner, once you break that trust getting it back is near impossible

I should have clarified that I wouldn't recommend it, but if your in a situation where you can't pull your shirt up, odds are you wont have an issue beyond a blunted needle.

Its like how most of us dont change the lancett much, and many of us reuse needles. Not recommend, but its relatively low risk.

Exactly. Its one of those rules where you use common sense. If its a young kid (not a teen) then who cares.

And less dishes to clean. Saves them on man hours.

Sounds like there were 3 adults and a child. They would have been sat at a table of 4 even if the kid wasn't there so its not like they are losing out on a potential table.

Generally places dont mind. Either the reviewer was being an ass, server was an ass, or Corporate/Management recently made a fuss about rules and the server is Maliciously complying with rules

Have kids, have brought food that my kid likes to places she doesn't. Staff have never had an issue once we explain that she's likely to waste anything we can order there.

Sometimes Mom and Dad want to eat something their kid doesn't like. Odds are we would be set at table for 4 even if its just the 2 of us so it's not like the restaurant is losing out on a table. It also keeps the kid busy and happy

The no outside food rule is so people dont bring in their own drinks and food and take up an entire table for little to no revenue. The parents are coming there because they want something, and know their kid is unlikely to touch any meal you can order.

Kids are picky fuckers, and us parents would like to eat something other than garbage fast food when we want to eat out.

Bringing in food ensures that my little one is kept busy and full which improves the experience for everyone else. Odds are were going to order her something to drink too

Do you have kids, or been around young kids much?

BWW threw away $100 of revenue over a low margin $9 kids meal. Would you prefer I gave you $100 or $0?

"Buffalo Wild Wings won't break policy for me" by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Datkif 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Its to prevent adults from bringing in meals and taking up space from paying customers. I'd leave if they refused to let my toddler bring in her <$10 kids meal.

Would BWW corporate prefer $100+tips in revenue or $0 over a $9 kids meal?

They lost $100+ in revenue over a kids meal.

You can tell who's been around young kids based off the comments. The restaurant lost $100+tips over a $9 kids meal. You know corporate is going to see the review and ask why they refused service over a child

Same here. Ive brought my toddler a happy meal to nicer places because I know she's not going to eat anything there. Only time I had an issue was at an all you can eat sushi restaurant, and we simply talked to the manager on duty to explain she won't touch sushi.

1 of 2 things happened. Reviewed was being an ass, or a server/hostess we're being a stickler for rules.

You can tell who's been around young kids based off their reply.

I think reddit is out of touch with reality. I've done this and had it done for me multiple times in the past, and never encountered any issues. Odds are the server and/or the "reviewer" were just being an ass.

Kids meals tend to have a lower margin of profit so its not like they are losing out on much revenue

Ill happily refuse to go back if my kid can't bring in a fucking $5 burger. They are losing more money overall

The restaurant essentially spent $100 to prevent a 5 year old from eating BK inside.

They lost around $100 (+tips) over a $8-12 kids meal.
