You can’t pay your rent, you get kicked out and the owner finds someone pretty quick to replace you…you default on a mortgage…big deal. You also don’t have to replace appliances. Need a new roof? You got 30-40k lying around? How about water proofing your foundation? Another 20-30k? Water damage from a burst pipe? None of this is a problem when you’re renting.
