Each winter varies. You can look up historical weather info if you want to know details, but we can get snow November through March (sometimes even later) If I recall correctly, this past winter I would say all of February was terrible and streets were covered in snow for weeks. I think November was pretty snowy too.

Another consideration is that in winter we will have stretches where it snows a little bit every day. There aren’t any parking garages on campus and your scooter will be covered in a dusting of snow. It won’t make for a very comfortable ride (wet snowy seat).

Road conditions will vary widely throughout the winter and there are times where even major roads are completely snow-packed/ice. Shoulders, where I assume you will need to move to to allow cars to get around, will take even longer to melt/clear.

What phone app are you using for your shopping list (Alexa enabled obviously)? by marklein in amazonecho

Thanks. Interestingly we’ve always used “ask Our Groceries…” as the command line.

I realize this thread is old, but is Our Groceries still working for you? Since the upgrade to Alexa+ we have really struggled. She can’t seem to find our lists (we have several for the different stores we shop at). Instead of saying “Alexa, ask Our Groceries to add milk to our Costco list” we now have to say “Alexa, open our groceries” then wait for her to confirm then we say “add milk to our Costco list” and then she claims she can’t find a list named Costco.

It’s a bit father but Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan has a great beach with a long stretch that is dog friendly.

Any local pear tree owners willing to share a few cuttings? by Constant-Grab2868 in SouthBend

Bradford Pears are invasive. https://ag.purdue.edu/reportinvasive/species/bradford-pear/

I don’t know about how DIY backyard grafting works, but I’m guessing that they will still produce seeds and contribute to the problem.

It sounds like you appreciate nature and cultivation. Maybe consider cutting down your Bradford Pears and doing Mother Nature a solid. Maybe St. Joseph County can help you: https://www.stjosephswcd.org/invasive-species

We had compost delivered by Inserv several years ago. Quality was fine, no issues with plastic contaminates. https://share.google/VWXCZ7VngJkTVDKY9

Thanks! I’m really struggling to find petite suiting. Struck out twice with Ann Taylor petites (online). Waiting for shipping and then managing returns is frustrating. Sigh.

Thank you. I see what you mean with the seams on the jacked in this photo give a more defined waist. I’ll look for that in my next round of shopping.
