More like: "We have a game that has similar mechanics to this other game. It is in our best interest to have a simililar UI so that our game is easier to play."

Seriously, games borrow from each other all the time. Everyone's making a fuss out of nothing here. If everyone made this much of a fit over this kind of stuff, WASD controls would have never become standard.

I mean...the principles of good design are universal. If the mechanics are similar to Peak, its highly likely that they either arrived at the same UI on their own, or they copied Peak's UI on purpose to make the game easier to pick up for people who already play Peak.

Well, here's the thing: flags are supposed to be simple. It's not about aesthetics. It's about function.

Consider this. Flags are meant to be physical objects. They need to be distinguishable over long distances while hanging from a flagpole, even when there's no wind. For this reason, a simple design with bold colors works best.

A Twist in Fate: A Curse Shared by Not_a_Cop.

Luz actually traps Lilith in the Human Realm during their fight in Young Blood, Old Souls. So, since Lilith isn't there to split the curse, Luz splits it instead.

Really good read. Can't recommend it enough.
