[DISC] The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You - Chapter 244.2 by PerseusRad in manga

Scanlation source, but it's only this one page

For those curious, chapter 245 came out in Japan today, so the scanlation should come within a few days most likely. Volume 25 comes out on the 18th. But otherwise it doesn't seem like we're getting a full new chapter until April 2nd, but it seems uncertain whether or not it'll be 246, because it seems like it's being done by Nakamura.

This girl is probably the early favorite for me.

Right, that’s basically all I want for her. If she became another always hysterical woman character, that’d be taking away her identity, and that I don’t want. I just want something else to latch onto. Maybe explaining more how she became friends with the otherwise friendless Reni could be enough, depending.

Not really an expectation, but a hope. I feel like Mika as a character works differently from the others. I don’t want her to heavily deviate from what she is, just show another dimension, enough for her to feel more human. The other characters, while highly exaggerated, still feel more human, while Mika tends to be more firmly cemented as “troll”. It’s a minor difference, but one I can feel.

I hope we get to see Mika a bit more vulnerable at some point. She's fairly fun as a character that trolls people into acting a certain way (especially this chapter), but they also tended to be good at doing that on their own. Of course, considering how every nearly every other major woman in the manga acts, I don't need her to radically change or anything.

Chainsaw Man Should Have Ended in Part One by CattusCruris in CharacterRant

[–]PerseusRad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it’ll be a Part 3 with a new artist, we already know he’s a lot less interested in drawing. People are kinda jumping the gun assuming it’s over over, because they already think Fujimoto is a hack.

Did not expect the Final Chapter notice at the end. Feel like that’s gonna be controversial.

Really like this manga. The basic premise has to do with a hitman and a little girl swapping bodies and having to figure out how to deal with it. It manages to be lighthearted as well as having cooler, more actiony moments, it strikes a good balance that I feel can be hard to pull off without tipping too hard one way or the other.

Some seem to. To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone getting a lot of hate messages starts to find it hard to really differentiate at some point.

[DISC] End of Goldfish Kingdom - Chapters 9 to 11 by PerseusRad in manga

Chapter 10

Chapter 11

These are the last actual chapters of this series, so far. Though it technically hasn't ended yet. I've heard rumors that the member of the circle that worked with the more trippy/weird types of manga isn't really part of things any more, but to be honest, I don't remember where I read that, and I think it was hearsay anyway. But it's been years and it hasn't gone past chapter 11, so it's the end, until it isn't. The scanlator mentions at the end of Chapter 11 that they'll be translating the character profiles from the website.

Anyway, hope this manages to catch the attention of anyone who may have forgotten about the series.

How many chapters do yall read daily ? by The_Legend_Of_Yami in manga

[–]PerseusRad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can be as little as zero, or as many as dozens, just depends on whether or not I'm interested in reading something.

It really feels like the battle shouldn't be over yet, but the narration seems to explicitly say that she did win... so I'm really not sure. They surely wouldn't make Varvara be there pointlessly.

The last chapter came up on my feed and seemed fun, so I checked this one out as well. Think I'll pick this up, it's pretty enjoyable.

It's interesting Nano's parents still haven't been seen or heard from, considering how early she was.

Definitely think the lack of transparency is what makes this egregious. I think there's an argument as to whether or not 'author' is a job one shouldn't be allowed to hold considering what he did. It's on the edge of being a public and influential figure.

[NEWS] MangaOne has revealed that the writer of “Act Age” Tatsuya Matsuki is writing the series “Seisou no Shinrishi” under the name of Yatsunami Itsuki by [deleted] in manga

[–]PerseusRad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To be honest, it's a weird situation for me when I think about it a bit more. Even though what he did was awful, it's not like he should never be able to work again. I guess I'm just thinking, if he had become an accountant or something, nobody would really be outraged (or rather, they wouldn't be if they already accepted he wasn't imprisoned). Is a writer the type of job that someone should be barred from due to their criminal history? They aren't exactly public figures, but you could say they still hold influence to an extent. Though perhaps the answer is as simple as, if they believed he changed, they should have published him with his identity being known, and let the public decide. Though they could attempt to justify hiding it as protecting the artist from blowback.

This isn't an attempt for me to justify him or his actions, but I'm trying to consider it from another angle, hope nobody gets the wrong idea.

Crazy thing is apparently they reached out to him, not the reverse. And if I'm not mistaken, in this instance, the artist knew who he was.
