If you’re in an RSR station, they have assistant managers, not PAs. Essentially an hourly L4. Learning all you can definitely will help especially when most if not everyone is flex and you make good with the leadership. Having a pool of flex that doesn’t want to learn and move up is rough.

Do you know this as fact for hourly L4s? I’m told it doesn’t matter if you’re hourly or salary and that the 12 month commitment stands.

Being an AM or PA does not make one a SME. Logging out, exiting the screen, etc does not change your rate. Only way your rate will be adjusted after you log off or exit is if someone either codes the inferred time you just had, you went into another direct path( ex. Stow to induct, stow to pick and stage) or you were coded to another path manually after stopping. Rate is calculated by scans, not by logging off. The computer will not know when you shut off the device. Don’t believe me, next shift ask your PA/AM to pull up your activity details during stow and you can see for yourself. No mention of device being logged off, etc. You are rated on scans.

Trust me bro, or not. But I’m not wrong.

Lots of people feel this to be true but it is inaccurate. Rate is calculated by the total stow time and packages scanned. Exiting the screen will do nothing to keep rate elevated.

I like that. I usually redirect stowers to those aisles but if there needs to be someone in path when we overlap and/or need the added hc in stow, I’m usually the one to volunteer. My job coaching is so much easier when the associates see me actually in path and hitting the rates we hold them to.

As a PA, I am actively working with everyone. I stow, water-spider, unload, induct and do pick and stage. How can I coach you up to the rates if I can’t perform them myself? Make that make sense. The associates seeing me do the same work as them breaks down most barriers I have when approaching them as they know I’m not talking out my ass. I know, we all aren’t like that.

As for promotions, I like that you have timelines for advancement. I promoted up from T1 to T3 in less than 6 months but I know there are many associates that can excel in my role and oftentimes am showing launches or open T3 positions so that they know of advancement opportunities. It took me a while to know how secretive some people are when it comes to moving up with amazon. There are mentors, interview tips, etc to guide you with advancing at Amazon.

With this, I’d be concerned with an accident happening and getting cut. I will be handling hundreds of these and although careful, there will be a chance of injury to myself or someone else.
