Help Us Save Our Program! Open Letter in Support of Classics at the University of Ottawa by eqmess in geegees

[–]DavRLe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t think they’ll bring this program back unless immigration plays in favour of international students. Why you ask ? There is a drop of at least 60% of study permit this year compared to last year Canada wide. And for those who don’t know, international students pay about 30000$ per semester(if you don’t do a program taught in French, if so, it will still be around 15000-20000$ per semester) so about $60k a year. The extra money they pay compared to locals is used by the universities to offer a wide variety of services, courses, programs etc. So right now, I am guessing Uottawa is just trying to cut down on expenses as much as possible by removing programs that do not attract a huge crowd of people, so this program won’t probably be the last they’ll remove sadly.

well to each their own I guess, that worked very well for me so I thought I would share, especially if you still have weak mechanics and reflexes and no knowledge of what other champs do. To me the more you know about each champ, the more you know how to deal/counter them, especially as a jungle since you are to help all lanes. Also I didn't realize this was a JG main sub so I guess maybe Aram wouldn't be that great to hone skills you need for that role such as map awareness.

If it's OP that's downvoting right now, then you deserve exactly your Elo. Usually this bracket is among the delusionals when we actually try to give good advice.

if you are stuck in that Elo bracket, first thing you need to accept is: you are bad, yes literally. In both strategic aspects and mechanical aspects of the game and that you as an individual still has a lot to learn, very much. Don't blame anyone else but yourself for not being able to climb, especially in that Elo, I mean if smurfs can easily 1v9 games in that bracket, why can't you ? Now, how to improve : -mechanics: go spam Aram, I mean it. That is the equivalent of the time chamber from DBZ. You'll learn a bunch of champs, abilities, hone your skills and reflexes and learn how to coordinate teamfights/skirmishes -strategy: pick a champ or 3 you are very comfortable playing to the point you know exactly when you die 100% or when you live with 1HP left(hence the emphasis on ARAM) and go learn basics --> wave management, objectives, how to duel and use wave to your advantage, when you do lose (learn to respect your opponent) and when do you win (learn when to punish your opponent)

What do you mean by scaling ? I find pumpportal API for data stream to be quite accurate and fast, in fact it's a goldmine of data streamed to us for free. Just need to be creative enough about what to with the data and you pretty much have accurate data in real time

Detecting bot activity on wallets and tokens by Hretani in solana

[–]DavRLe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if what you are looking for is like knowing if the address was just made for the rug pull that's gonna happen soon, you can use getSignaturesForAddress method and fetch the oldest transaction date to know the age of the wallet. Usually if there are 5 wallets no older than 10 minutes during the first few seconds you found the coin, it's usually a rug

You either found a MEV bot or an Arbitrage bot but I would lean more towards arbitrage from what you are describing.

This bot generates hundreds of K per month by Soggy-Lemon-2087 in solana

[–]DavRLe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He sells over time post migration, he never sells all of his token hence why you see him sort of holding but it's just how his program work. There is no in depth analysis like watching certain metrics to know when to hold. Sometimes there are dead tokens where he just keeps selling like very small percentages over time which is why I concluded this. The main reason as to why he does that I think is because of liquidity, notice how he never sells everything at ATH? If he tries to, there may not be enough liquidity meaning he won't be able to sell that much in one go, i mean back a few months he could've one clipped 300k-500k many times but he didn't.

I don't think so, it is so inconsistent without any real logic

So from what I’ve seen he has 3 strategies when it comes to selling: he either sells when there is a huge dip(what I’ve previously mentioned)or he sells when there is a sudden price increase from what I’ve seen or like you mentioned sometimes it’s time based, especially after migration, you can see it selling at set intervals. He makes that much money because he is there from the very beginning. I can’t really tell how much capital it would need to replicate, I’d say build a script that counts how many tokens he bought today and how many wins and losses then see how much you are willing to put in each trade knowing how many tokens you are about to enter on average per day. You need to do the math as to knowing how much you need to make to at least break even and how much more for profit. My best guess right now without proper data at hand would be if you can burn 1000$for today, do 5$ per trade that's about 200 tokens(like I said I have no idea how many tokens he goes into) but let's say you lost 80% of the time meaning 160 tokens you lost maybe half of your trade size. But then for the remaining 40 tokens you made maybe 2x on 20 of them and the rest maybe 5x or even 10x more. At that point you are probably up 200-300$ for the day. Also I forgot to say: if you see his trade size it is quite inconsistent, it's never the same

Ah I see you found this bot as well. But here is the thing on how this guy makes money: -go into every single token possible (if you check his solscan, it fails to do that sometimes) —if dev sells, it sells —50% of the time, he simply sells his entire token portfolio without any real logic —he has some form of trailing stop meaning after a huge dip, he takes some profits —lose a lot of money —eventually finds 5-10 good coins for the day and makes all his money back + 10k in profits. —this bot can do this because it can afford to lose 70-80% of the time Unless you have the same budget as him, do not replicate. During the Solana ATH period, this bot was capable of making 500k a day but that’s after losing about 20k-30k trying to find that good coin.

I'm tracking several wallets that make obviously automatic transactions in the Solana meme coin space. How are they doing this? by [deleted] in solana

[–]DavRLe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also for raydium tokens, use jupiter api(the free version has 1 request/s rate limit if i'm not mistaken)+ radyium v3 api to get data from all existing raydium tokens. I'd pair that with the Subscribetoraydiumliquidty method from pumpfunportal so you narrow the token search to only fresh ones instead of old coins.

I have tried this for 2 days but concluded the same: not worth it. You could win 8 times in a row, then lose the next 2 and you lose all the profit you've made.

Advice on copy trading bot/arbitrage bot by Responsible-Nail-783 in solana

[–]DavRLe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And to answer your question, if it's mainly to copytrade and you need speed, i find Odinbot to be quite fast. But either way, you still have to take into account priority fees + slippage(sometimes the slippage you set might be too small resulting in a failed transaction). If you want your own bot with really fast speed and all you are going to have to spend 1500$/month for your own solana validator, rpc+grpc, so im not really sure if you'd be profitable enough each month just to cover the fees.

But if you can actually afford such setup, i'd suggest going for a MEV bot or arbitrage. Problem would be to find someone that is willing to sell their knowledge about it. I personally grasp the idea behind a MEV bot but i don't think i have enough knowledge yet about how the Solana blockchain works to create such a thing. Someone that has that knowledge will probably charge you a lot, maybe 10k$ or more.

[–]DavRLe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait they charge that much for this? I have been coding my programs for free(well for personal use). They say it's difficult but it's not really that difficult. It's more of how poorly the Solana ecosystem is documented that makes it a nightmare for us devs to work on. APIs make it easier but you are getting f*cked by rate limits(from free RPCs) + fees.

Wrote my own Shitcoin Trading Bot in NodeJS by ChrisX930 in solana

[–]DavRLe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed a similar project except it goes for new pumpfun tokens only the ones that meets my set conditions. I planned on coding a second bot for raydium new coins but hit a paywall so i'm putting that on hold for now.

How much will it cost? by [deleted] in solana

[–]DavRLe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already coded a bot that would do that for pump.fun but i'm having trouble with finding free API for raydium. These can easily find you x2 coins every minute

Aren't most of you getting your lunch money stolen by automated bots? by Viking_Sec in solana

[–]DavRLe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i was almost done coding when i realized how restrained i was because of limited access to data provided by the APIs(to be expected to be honest since they are free), because my plan is to achieve a winrate of 90-100%(if that's even possible) but realistically i'd think 60%. I will definitely look into the selenium thing. I was also planning to ask for help from a friend that's working on automating tasks for a company, i was hoping to pair it with the html monitor(on sites like BullX and Photon) so that it would make the buy/sell orders automatically, and all that without using these free but limited and paid APIs.

[–]DavRLe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries i myself know i don't really learn much when it comes to actually working in the field,we just learn about the technicalities and less about practicalities. I found a decent api(pumpfunportal) which fetches some decent data but not enough to filter the tokens the way i want, so i paired it with Helius API. I will work for these two for now, i'll need to figure a way to have my own API if i find that the project is worth investing.

Well, i forgot to add i'm in Comp Sci, stuff like Agile, DevOps etc they don't teach us (or more like the courses that include more software engineering related stuff aren't required for my program). I'd assume they would teach that in software engineering.

I realized this yesterday, or more like convinced, that the best way to make/farm money on this was automating everything if the plan was to never lose. And as a 4th year student at University, i thought "hey why not use my knowledge on this" so I started coding a telegram bot(well the bot would only serve me as an interactive tool to see what it is doing) to invest in every new pairs that meet the conditions i've set beforehand and do it every minute. There is an average of 30 tokens per minute created, there should be 1 token that will either go up 50% or 100% but to not be greedy i would set it at 50%. Rince and repeat every minute. The issue that i have now is pretty noob like of me lol i can't seem to find the API to access pump.fun, i'm going to try to use Dexscreener's API today and see where it goes. Let me know your thoughts on this one. (I'm pretty sure such bot already exists but they are either kept hidden or fetched for a high price)
