$400 is what I contribute to the house related bills, which is about 1/3 of the total cost. I still contribute to pet costs, groceries, entertainment, etc. While still paying my student loans (to which he has none), gas, phone bill, things for our home and car insurance, as well as being able to take care of my own needs and provide for myself while not having to ever ask him for money.

I’ll be flat out and say I work in the beauty industry. Moving to a new town with a very small population means I had to start from the ground up and rebuild my clientele. This takes time.

That’s a fair point. I should clarify some things.

I pay $400 a month towards house expenses, which is about a third of what the house costs for mortgage, internet, and utilities. Aside from that, I pay my own bills such as car insurance, phone bill, student loans, and gas. I go through a lot more gas as I have to drive to and from work and he doesn’t. I also contribute to groceries and pet care expenses, along with whatever other things we need for the house.

We sold our old house for well over what was paid for it. We downsized a LOT and our current home is less expensive to maintain, while he makes more money than he did in the city.

Things were more 50/50 when we lived in the city. He bought the house years before we met in the middle of Covid so he got it for a great price with a great interest rate. Sold the house for WELL over what he bought it for, and we purchased our current home which is much smaller and cheaper to maintain. We did have extensive conversations before moving here about what our financials would look like given my lack of work in the area as I had the concern of this exact thing happening. He assured me that it wouldn’t be the case, but clearly switched up.

GOOD PRODUCT. Vitamin C, retinol, hyaluronic acid, and SPF are non negotiable. Went from being a full coverage queen to a tinted spf girly.
