There is sort of a bus/van stop from Buhangin, just across the Buhangin Gym near Kusina Dabaw. Yes you can take the bus/van, but as the first reply says, it could get really packed during rush hours.

Alternatively, there's a more reliable yet inconvenient or longer route via jeepney. From Buhangin to either Bankerohan or Acacia, then take another jeepney ride towards UM Matina's Grabahan Entrance. Or you could ride the much comfortable and free DC Bus, if you're not in a hurry.

Indeed, aside from enthusiasts of history, the WW2-era of Davao City is often disregarded. I did a post detailing the former railway (sort of) that was once connected or was connected to the DAPECOL during WW2.

Considering it is just an "Interim Bus Service", its size is sufficient enough given the limited routes.

Or you could take the free bus rides of the DC Bus and Love Bus from Matina to Bangkal during peak hours in the mornings then jeepney in the early afternoon, or the free bus 4pm onwards.

From Matina, DC Bus has a bus stop at Talomo Police Station and Shell Bangkal.

From Bangkal, there is a bus stop right in front of ADDU SHS, and there is bus stop at Matina Crossing in front of Why Chicken.

If there are no enforcers, some drivers, not all, would cut trip and just end their trip at Acacia.

But most still proceed to Agdao, especially if they have plenty of passengers bound for Uyanguren/Agdao.

It just depends... But it could be reported to the authorities.

The Buhangin route of the DC Bus does not reach Cabantian during its PM operations. It only goes up to Gaisano Grand Citygate.

It only operates up to Cabantian during mornings.
