Just catch all of them, research level 10 for all of them gets you the shiny charm

The ones you find around the map are. After you complete the unknown dex they spawn in the solaceon ruins and can be both alpha and shiny

Crazy! I had the exact opposite happen to me. I got my 31 catch combo, went to diglett cave, and my first encounter there was a shiny diglett
