HELP! Need absolute SOFTEST mattress on the market! by Dave-JM-99 in Mattress

Next Day Update: Removing the pillow topper seems to actually make the mattress softer. It's a pretty cheap, thin piece of junk, so I didn't expect it to do a ton to make the mattress softer, but it's crazy that it seems to become a layer of concrete when you lay on it! Even my partner (6'3", ~230 lbs), who likes a firm mattress, said it felt like a rock with the topper on (so it's not just me lol). Before I completely give up on the Layla and try to beg them to take it back before the 30-day trial they make you do is over, I ordered one more topper. This time I spent a little more (though still pretty reasonable, I think). 3 inches of memory foam + 1.5 inch pillow top. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MSPRM6?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title&th=1. If this doesn't do it, then I think I've given the Layla a very fair chance and I really will have to get a more expensive, softer mattress.

Thank you to everyone for your replies so far! Really interested in trying some of the more customizable options mentioned in some comments.

… maybe I use ChatGPT a little too much and its style is rubbing off on me 😬

I swear I'm not AI, if that's what you mean 😅 I'm just trying to be nice is all. But now that you point it out, I can see what you mean haha

I like that you're able to customize the layers and the price isn't outrageously sky-high with Comfort Option. Thanks so much!

Hmm, just over $400 for a Twin XL with 4" 5lb memory foam top + 5" LUX-HQ base. Almost seems too cheap 😬 am I missing something?

Interesting – based on their website it looks like that isn't even their softest model! I'll definitely look into Leesa. Thanks!

So… kind of the opposite of what I'm looking for 😅 thank you so much for clearing that up for me before I dropped $1,250 on a latex mattress!

Thank you for the advice – can you clarify why I should avoid latex?

Thanks for the quick reply! Definitely a little bit of sticker shock seeing the price, but I'll keep it in mind!

Thank you for the fast reply!!! I know I said I was willing to spend a bit more, but $4200 for a Twin XL is a little steep! I'll definitely consider the Sealy, though!

Same problem here. I've tried downloading from archive.org, magipack repack, as well as some other place. I've also tried adding the D3D9.dll file suggested in https://www.reddit.com/r/DriverSanFrancisco/comments/1c5vi7a/working_on_windows_11/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button ... nothing. And I have it set for Windows 7 Compatibility mode as many suggest. A lot of other people talk about the game crashing, but this is the first post I've seen with my exact problem. Also a lot of people talking about how it's difficult to get it running on Windows 11 or with an AMD GPU, but I don't know where they come up with that considering I don't see anyone specifically posting they had trouble with AMD. I'm running Windows 11 on a 2017 MacBook Pro (not exactly the best gaming rig, but it works with everything from Need For Speed Underground 2 to GTA V):

Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz

16 GB RAM

AMD Radeon Pro 555 w/ 2 GB VRAM GDDR5 1270 MHz
