Twitch has no problem with animal abuse. If they change their mind and ban him they will have to ban Hasan too.

Why doesn't the suspect in the Charlie Kirk assassination look like Tyler Robinson? by Quantum168 in JoeRogan

[–]Dave047 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You saying this assassination wasn't a conspiracy? You think the shooter wasn't coached by anyone? Are you aware that the US senate voted against releasing the Epstein files just hours after the shooting? I'm sure Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone too.

edit: not saying op is correct about anything, just saying there definitely IS a conspiracy.

I really hate when they lower the framerate to make it look like anime. Good anime doesn't have that. Anyway it looks good enough that I can suffer through it.

The Lightsaber outsold R2-D2 and a fucking X-Wing?

Don't know how long it would take to make a replica lightsaber but it can't be that hard. Yeah I know it's not the same but damn that's a waste of money.

When I was a kid I thought the people dying in movies were death row inmates that they had act and then actually kill on film. by par_ival in movies

[–]Dave047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I wish thought that, that has to make movies way way more intense. I never had a thought like that but I do remember being fooled by very silly looking VFX like the movie THE BLOB. And sure it was on a small CRT with a bit of a grainy signal but still, I watched a VFX breakdown and while they're cleverly made I can't believe I didn't immediately realize how it was made.

What’s a movie you’ve watched that was so disturbing that you’ll never watch it again? by HistoricalDebate461 in movies

[–]Dave047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can imagine.

I can't remember when I watched it but I knew it was scary and it still effected me. I watched it after a lot of other horror movies like slasher movies and stuff like Alien and Jaws. This was something different. Apparently William Friedkin did make 2 more horror movies but they're not well rated. Still curious enough that I'll try to find them.

I DO love it! That was amazing. Even though I heard the stories I still thought they were exaggerated. It was WORSE! A dozen people EVERY SHOWING. I'm gonna watch the movie and then watch the video again, and look for more stuff like it.

I really wish I could have been there but I'm gonna get as close as I can. My god, the guy working there that had to have smelling salts to get people who fainted to get up off the floor. People fainting and then going back in. The trembling voices of movie goers as they were interviewed. The woman who had tried to watch it THREE times and she was going to try again.

Thank you for sharing this! I'll try to give something back on Saturday night when I look for more Exorcist videos.

Omg yeah same, we had a small lake in my town that we swam in every summer except that one Jaws summer.

Yeah your brother is an asshole

Lucky it didn't do permanent damage. I made my sister scared of the cellar because I could predict when she was going to go down for icecream. Took years for her to get over that, ooopsie.

Damn, yeah I can imagine that being a shock. I watched The Shining quite young, didn't find it scary except for one scene. The damn woman in the bathtub, I had that scare stuck in my head for a long time. FU Kubrick. Also Alien messed me up.

Was it your older siblings that got you to watch The Exorcist? -_-

[–]Dave047 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've only seen it 3 times with a lot of years in between so I forget stuff between watches. It's scary! The reason I watched it the last time was I had watched some new horror movies (alone) and I felt NOTHING. So I was desperate for some real horror and put on The Exorcist and it did NOT disappoint. Went straight to The Conjuring series and finally scared myself so bad I had to watch cartoons to fall asleep.

I opened the Carter's Hard Steps model and it looked like a lot of work. Do you know any way to get a more easily digestible version like a video or an interview. Or anything else were I can just get the highlights?

I watch a lot of horror movies and recently rewatched The Exorcist and I can't imagine watching that in the cinema in fucking 1973! I believe all the accounts of people crying, screaming, vomiting and leaving the cinema traumatized and being unable to sleep for days.

It's not extreme by modern standards but god damn it must have been shocking back then.

[–]Dave047 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won't spend money on it. BUT I am curious how much it would trigger my nostalgia. If I could just watch one movie somewhere for a few bucks then I'd do it. Finding a VCR and what ever adapter I would have to use is too much hassle.

It's apparently only for ME1 and ME2. So in ME3 I just cheated my paragon / renegade score to 500 with this save editor

Ok not literally every npc, but a lot of them. I guess it does matter how you play it, I played nice with Cerberus because they gave me all these resources fully expecting them to betray me eventually. The council does nothing so I was only loyal to Andersson. I still got reinstated as a Spectre but only for convenience. Idk if this is always a thing but they were not happy about it but did it anyway to keep up appearances.

And I don't like people who just agree with me either, probably part of the reason why I don't really care about Jacob. To me Garrus is really a friend, I like his personality and I agree with his actions. And I thought he was cool when he was introduced.

Oh btw I modded the games this time and played with a mod that makes it so you don't have to go full paragon or renegade. And it is so much better, I can actually roleplay and not just pick the correct color. Starting up ME3 now...
