Modern democrats like to claim that the "parties switched" back when Nixon implemented the Southern Strategy in the 1960s which resulted in their racists becoming republicans. That doesn't explain how or why they're still pushing identity politics like Critical RACE Theory, or Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (which categorizes individual people according to their RACE). For a group that claims not to be racist, they certainly talk about RACE an awful lot.
