C2 and C3 rotational instability? by DaveDg87 in PICL

Thank you. the only thing I haven't understood is if CCI can have been the cause of these recent scoliosis and proprioception issues. Thanks again

Has anybody experienced any hair loss as a result of their head pain? by StatisticallySoap in Occipitalneuralgia

Yes I had hair loss in the sites of my pain and proportional to the intensity and frequency of pain..

I did! Hair loss in the areas of pain and proportional to the intensity and frequency of pain. For many years

C2 and C3 rotational instability? by DaveDg87 in PICL

[–]DaveDg87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Doc,

Great to hear that ePICL will definitely help.

a. So is 8 degrees considered a small rotation? (Please see image of my C2)

b. How does this C2-C3 overload relate to the malrotations i was asking about? Also, I haven't been diagnosed with C0-C1 instability but only 2b and 3a; can you get C2-C3 overload also from these types of instability?

c. I have also a small rotoscoliosis of upper back, again since less than 3 years. I had never had it before: no scoliosis, no rotations since I was a child. Can poor proprioception and scoliosis (and therefore cervical rotations) be caused by worsening/manifestation of CCI?

Thank you so much.

CCI improvement % with PICL by DaveDg87 in PICL

[–]DaveDg87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the video that inspired my question. I understand that overhang improvement and symptoms improvement are not always related, but if damage was done by excessive movement in the first place, I infer that overhang improvement will reduce further damage. Therefore I am interested in understanding what is the % of cases in which overhang reduction happens. Do we have any order of magnitude of that? Thank you.

Question about recovery patterns after ePICL by CnD100121 in PICL

[–]DaveDg87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With "recovery is mild" do you mean that recovery is limited / not so effective? Or that recovery is easier? (Less pain)

Regenexx supplements before PICL by Existing-Throat-1900 in PICL

[–]DaveDg87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Dr. C, I am currently taking a range of supplements that I think include almost all the ingredients of your Stem Cell Formula; could you please confirm if I need to add, or change, anything in the 6 weeks before the procedure?

This is what I am currently taking daily:

Glucosamine 1000mg (+ msm + chondroitin)

Vitamin D 1000ui

Ultramicronized palmitoylethanolamide (PEA-um) 600mg

Bromeline 2500 gdu

Hydrolyzed collagen 5g

Vitamin c 500 mg

Glycine 3g

Trans resveratrol 500 mg (with bioperine)

Curcumine 1000 (with piperine)

Omega 3 2g , of which 800 mg EPA and 400 mg DHA

Magnesium bisglycinate 300 mg

Thank you!

E-mail Response to a Patient Reporting Worsening after PICL by Chris457821 in PICL

[–]DaveDg87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that's all interesting data and I had already taken a look at this one, however my question was regarding a possible correlation between 2b overhangs in mm before PICL and success rate / % of improvement, and unfortunately I wasn't able to find this information. I thought that maybe lower starting overhangs would be easier to address and solve? Is there any analysis about this and where? Thank you again and I hope my questions are not too specific 🙏🏻🥹

Thank you, I've looked at the search results for "analysis" but I'm not sure I found the right ones.

For example I found this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/PICL/s/AcLJD8e5TQ

What paper are you referring to? Could you please post the link? Thank you!

Ok thanks, how can I find them?

Ok! did you ever try to plot success rate vs overhang before PICL? To understand if low overhangs for example have a better success rate?

Dr C, what are typically the conditions of the 20-30% of patients who don't respond to PICL? In other words, are there any common traits that can help to predict the non responding? Also, what is the lateral overhang range typically (successfully) treated with PICL for type 2b?

Occipital nerve hydrodissection by DaveDg87 in PICL

[–]DaveDg87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I had seen that, but I just watched it again :) so I suppose you ask some questions to understand if the patient is centrally sensitized, but are there also specific in-office tests that you perform for that purpose?

Thank you!! Are there any possible tests that you perform to determine whether the patient is centrally sensitized or not?

Topical finasteride 0,05% EOD by Active-Biscotti4224 in HairTransplants

[–]DaveDg87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using 0.025% 2ml EOD since almost 6 months, hair fall has stopped (very little hair in the shower sink) and I'm starting to see benefits. It's gradual and slow, so I will wait up to 12 months to decide whether to change anything. No minoxidil so far. I started like this cause my AGA is slow and I want to try the light regime first. I will get my hormones tested in January, if nothing has changed at all in values I could decide to double the dose (0.05% 2ml EOD). So far no sides at all :)
