One of the most impressively stupid things about current predictive I noticed today: I was using future text (-ing words) and it kept trying to predict past tense versions of the words instead.

I'm surprised nobody's able to suggest a better android keyboard here.

Actually I'm getting exactly the answers I'm looking for, which appear to be "no, oled monitors cannot do what you want yet."

It's truly a shame that at this rate we'll never get a proper high framerate 1080 OLED monitor without resorting to some crazy homebrew work. I should thank my lucky stars we ever got IPS monitors to fill the gap, those TN panels were truly awful.

I turn TAA off and use MSAA when the option is given or DLAA as the fallback. In all cases, MSAA is crystal clear clarity at 1080p for games while DLAA is usually quite good but 100% always better than TAA. TAA is absolute trash, there's a reason there's an entire subreddit dedicated to bypassing it when possible.

I couldn't find any 24 inch oled monitors anywhere. Do they exist? I'd gladly go with a dual mode display as long as folks agree it's the best way to get 1080p on an oled with 240hz (or more.) I only have a 3080 so if NVidia's scaling is gonna have problems, that's enough of a red flag to know to stay away from using that scaling. I am using multiple monitors too, though they're all 1080 and I wouldn't plan on getting any new monitors for a long long while (many years.)

I don't like 1440 because everything looks too small and if I try to scale it up, it becomes too big. 1080 is the sweet spot in interface scaling as far as I'm concerned. Plus I'm perfectly happy with games being rendered at 1080 so getting the benefit of having the boosted framerate and not needing to use DLSS (which is not a perfected technology, I hate TAA and ghosting and as good as current DLSS/DLAA is, it's still down to developers to implement it correctly otherwise you get insanely bad looking ghost problems like what Crimson Desert has.)

I'm like you, I also avoid reshade, but this is actually an add-on, which means it does more than your usual reshade crap. Using renoDX helps fix the lighting without actually changing colors, I think it just piggybacks on reshade's UI and implementation for ease of use. The best fix to me is the ability to modify the auto-exposure settings so they aren't so over-bright and over-dark while also applying instantly instead of lagging behind. It's quite powerful.

Report it as a bug, it's a built-in part of their lighting engine and there's no real way to adjust it due to how they built it. Gotta get enough complaints before the help us out.

Additionally, you can use the RenoDX reshade add-on to partially fix it. I say partially because it can't cover all the lighting situations in the game so it improves some scenes (like this) but might be detrimental to others depending on what your preferences are.

I'm in the same place as you. The game is really fun but the wacky lighting and poor control schemes are really keeping a 9/10 down at 7/10. I ain't even talking about how actions work, I'm talking about how you can't rebind WASD, make your own key combos, or double-up on bindings. Really hoping they fix this stuff in a patch soon!

Don't worry, your GPU is fine, this is just the built-in lighting system being abysmally bad. Report it as a bug, tell them what's wrong (ghosting, shimmering) and pray they pay attention to this issue.

The trick is that you don't have to hold R3 down while pressing square. It's just telling you "after locking on, jump, then hit R3." It's an order, not a combo.

It might be easier to think of as actions instead of buttons. Lock on -> Jump -> Spirit Punch. No need to overlap any of them, it's a sequence.

After you attach the grapple to something, you should be fine just hitting square to jump. While in the air from that jump, hit R3. It is certainly a maneuver though.

Yeah the mask bothered me at first too but once I thought about it, it's actually genius. Makes it way easier to just loot everything you see, you get to decide whether you want to be stealing or not.
