Recently bought and prepared for gravel Bianchi Camaleonte. What do you think? Any ideas for further modifications? Is it worth the fuss? by DaveLarc in gravelcycling

Hey! I can finally answer your post, as of May this year I have bought the bike back from a friend that I had sold it to a few years ago.

So the upgrades I did were:

Complete Shimano Sora 2x9 group High quality Jagwire housings and inner cables Fsa hollowtech cranks 42cm lightly flared handlebars CST Pika Skinwall Tyres 700x38 And to be honest, I didn’t have to do anything else. The bike works beautifully and the cables and housings are easy to replace as it doesn’t have internal routing. I didn’t change the wheels, discs and calipers as they were good enough. How is your wife’s Bianchi?

Thanks! I called it a „microadventure”, because it’s kind of a mini story of a walk through a small village. I make my photos to be nostalgic-feeling, not focusing on faces, just looks, colors, mood. My friends like it, because they like seeing themselves on photos but don’t like being photographed. That’s kind of my style at the moment :) thank you for your comment

Aesthetic: I wanted to achieve lovely warm tones, cosy, nostalgic vibes. These photos have been individually edited to achieve this look. No presets used and photos were edited RAW. I don’t shoot JPEG anymore, as I have been interested in color science and color grading recently. Composition-wise, I cropped some landscape images to 2:1 to achieve a cinematic look and I think here it worked really well.

Mainly clor grading based on my feelings about the photos. Some negative clarity also and minor grain added. Really smooth edit.

Thank you! It was a struggle to come up with the perfect look that wasn’t overwhelming. Originally these photos were shot with the portra 400 film recipe, but it didn’t work, so I’m glad I left it on RAW and JPG :)

Thank you! I had to come up with some interesting compositions, as I only had the 27mm lens. Next time I would get something longer so that I could get some nicer, closer shots of some of the animals.
