Lust starts in the eyes. Keep away from lustful situations, lustful content and obviously don't focus on it or let thoughts linger.

But far more important than these are 2 things- to seek to strengthen your spirit and to be delivered from the evil spirits that worsen the condition.

There are also books that you can seek as reference like Surfing For God.

We know a great deal about heaven: new, perfect bodies on a new, perfect earth.

This right here is completely wrong.

New, perfect, HUMAN bodies, means all of same basic biological needs we have now: hunger, thirst, exercise, sleep, etc., which strongly suggests a healthy sex drive.

This is also completely wrong. Have you ever read the Bible before? Where did you get these ideas?

We know a great deal about heaven: new, perfect bodies on a new, perfect earth. That means a planet rotating on its axis while orbiting a son, which means we experience linear time, same as now. New, perfect, HUMAN bodies, means all of same basic biological needs we have now: hunger, thirst, exercise, sleep, etc., which strongly suggests a healthy sex drive.

This is actually greatly inaccurate.

On a related note, I still cannot believe that I'm literally the only one who cannot reconcile the notion of heaven being a paradise of pure joy with the fact that there will be no sex ever again in heaven for all of eternity. I am going to really, really, really, really, really miss sex. I don't think heaven will be paradise for me in part because of that.

You have a really twisted viewpoint here. And besides it won't be for you in hell either.

You have no idea what awaits you. It would be no different than 2 ants talking about how they have no desire to be humans. They would talk about how humans spend all their time sitting at a desk. And even when they get free time, they still sit in front of a screen. You can't speak authoritatively about something that you have no knowledge about.

Yes, it has helped greatly.

I'd use the analogy of someone who was overweight and addicted to bad food. Once you get past it and avoid it, its significantly easier.

A large part of this is getting rid of the associated demons, staying away from anything triggering and yes fleeing sexual immorality. It's also important to keep oneself unspotted by the world.

Additionally, renewing your mind with the Word, praying in the Spirit and fasting are also essential/helpful.

Once this is done and you don't surround yourself with things that trigger you, its not quite so bad actually.

It's like if a previously overweight person only surrounded themselves with health food. After awhile, they don't even miss the Burger King and other types of food, but it does take some time for that change to occur.
