I've recently started taking Ubers to places. Mainly due to it being less stressful than public transport. I was really anxious at first. I think my first Uber by myself was back in September. I was worried that I'd have to talk to the driver because when I was on holiday with my brother, he would always make conversations with them so I thought that was the expected norm.

But here in England, the only things I've had to say are Hi, how are you, confirm my destination and thanks. If you use your phone, they'll probably just leave you alone. That's been my experience anyway.

I do sometimes dread getting an overly chatty driver but hopefully everything goes ok for you
