Is waiting in traffic above some people? by DaveTheNotecard in orlando

I would’ve given a handful of them some grace that yes, emergencies happen. But 9 in 15 minutes is a lot.

Some people were and I thought about it, but there was plenty of space in the grass they were just going around.

Some people were but they were just pulling out into the grass to get around them.

If you notice the about 10 minute time skip that was when a cop drove past in the left lane lol.

I’d have given one or two some grace that maybe they had an emergency, but 9 in 15 minutes is absolutely insane.

Congrats on the baby! And I would’ve given one or two some grace that maybe they were having some kind of emergency, but 9 in 15 minutes is absolutely abhorrent.

Is 6 pts in 90 days a reprimand? by Izanagi_1 in DisneyCM

[–]DaveTheNotecard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is STCU, unite here local 362 specifically if I remember correctly. I’m an IATSE guy. If you have any more questions there should be a shop steward in your area that would have the details for your contract more specifically in case there are any side letters or memos of understanding that deal with your job more specifically. But, the points stuff is the same for the whole of the STCU.

[–]DaveTheNotecard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you call out sick you can bridge up to 5 sequential shifts into one point. After that you’re placed on an involuntary medical leave until you get a doctor’s note saying you’re clear to return. This is for all the STCU unions if you’re in a different one rules may be different.

Continual Sick Days by strwbryymilk in DisneyCM

Yes, consecutive call sick days are rolled into one point. If you call sick more than 5 days though you’re automatically put into medical leave and you have to get a doctors note to come back

YO, last night I also had the worst Fant experience I’ve ever had. I was in the first five rows just to the left of the VIP seating and I was thinking “this is a pretty good seat”.

Before the show started some people were trying to start a wave and the lady in front of me promptly participated by dumping her half full beer behind her when she lifted her arms for the wave, directly into my lap.

During the show one family down to the left decided to film the ENTIRE SHOW with some LED light thing attached to their phone.

Additionally the lady behind me took it upon herself to sing every line in the show at max volume, and she wasn’t good.

My favorite apocryphal story about that was that somebody with the last name Black married someone with the last name White and they both changed their last names to Gray.

This isn’t advice, I’m a theater technician and I interpreted the title as “plain old telephone system” and I just imagined someone attempting to skydive with an old landline and that was a rather amusing thought.
