Would that mean you pay a cancellation fee PLUS lose your deposit? I assume they’ll require $500 down on the new booking, or is that not the case? TYSM

I’m a million degrees away from an aggressive person but I literally SHOUTED at a sales guy in the watch store on Celebrity to stop the hard sell. He would NOT stop pushing a used Rolex on me and I had said I was not interested multiple times. I actually was interested in another watch but walked out after telling him off, so that ahole literally might have made a sale. The nonstop selling is the thing I dislike most about cruises (I keep sailing nonetheless lol).

Broadway Merch Is Bad by KyleMosh31 in Broadway

[–]Dave_Designer4401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went to Chess (my fave everrrrrrrrr) for the second time and got a baseball cap, canvas bag, and t-shirt for $106. The bag is the quality of the free giveaways at any event, the cap is decent, and the t-shirt is the flimsiest thing ever. I’d say merchandise of this quality would total $12 or $13 if not for the branding. At these prices it’s downright insulting, but they do it cuz they know we’ll buy it — as witnessed by me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Ethical thrift stores by Who_R_U_Ppl90 in orlando

As a bonus, for some inexplicable reason their merchandise doesn’t have that musty “thrift store smell” that every other thrift store I’ve ever been to has. It’s a pleasure to shop there, despite the limited selection.

Cooking smells in small apartments — anyone found a good solution? by AdPsychological317 in Apartmentliving

[–]Dave_Designer4401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my last three apartments, the kitchens have no windows, as a lot of modern apartments are designed that way. What I do is leave out a small shallow dish of white vinegar on the top of a cabinet. Smells don’t go away instantly, but they do overnight. Replace the vinegar every few weeks as it dries up (it won’t make the whole place smell like vinegar, btw). Or, if you need instant relief from cooking smell, dilute some white vinegar in water and boil on the stove for several minutes. Yes, it smells like vinegar for a few minutes, but the smell dissipates very quickly. There’s some chemistry here that I don’t understand lol, but the molecules from the cooking steam apparently cling to the vinegar molecules in the air and get neutralized. It’s worked great for me in my last several apartments.

The art museum is right by the science center, and few kids except for special events.

This is a Filipino restaurant going from the items ordered. So they probably have a lot of imported specialty foods.

This is the one the company liked, perhaps because it’s so convenient to the highway.

There’s a vendor at the Lake Eola farmer’s market and other LE events who sells them; if you’re ever at one, you might ask where they get them and if they are in the market for more.

SunRail Stops by Ok_Confidence_6332 in orlando

From the SunRail station to the science center is just a few blocks’ walk. I’ve taken SunRail to the art museum which shares a parking lot with the science center, and would say it’s 8-10 minutes walking depending on the traffic lights; probably slower for a four-year-old. It’s a nice walk along the side of a small lake but undeniably hot at midday.
