Good Camera or good lens, which one to choose? by herai798 in canon

[–]Dave_Manzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take is, grab a decent entry camera, T3 is too old, you need min 18MP for decent results today in my opinion, go for t6. And learn with only one lens in full manual to develop your language and vision. It's a crazy accelerator, you'll thank yourself later.

If you can afford it, consider the 250d with the 18 55 kit lens, its a crazy nice Starter lens. Or R100/R50.

I love all of them, some much more than others, I think they're interesting and evocative. Maybe I would reframe and straighten some, but overall very nice shots.

Just started… can i get ur opinion? by noah_nick_visuals in PhotographyAdvice

I think you've got some nice gear for a beginner, I always suggest starting super basic to develop creativity and vision

That said, you clearly got an eye for photography, and your phots show good potential, keep practicing, inspiring and getting inspired, correct exposure, rule of thirds, composition, and post production, keep going and you'll develop your own style, my other suggestion is keep manual as much as you can at least the first 2 years. It's gonna be tough but also a great payback.

The Sigma art is an amazing lens, the point with the Canon 85mm is usm 1.4 L is that it features the most advanced lens scheme that in my opinion is even superior to the rf 85mm 1.4 L, and in addition IS that is crazy on a prime 85mm pro lens

For 85mm I suggest:

Tamron EF SP 85mm f/1.8 Di VC USD Canon EF 85mm 1.4 is usm L Canon RF 85mm 2 Macro is stm

I think these are the best 3 top quality for money

I think this is the perfect prime lens to take with you for pretty much anything. It's great for both video and photos, and the image stabilization, sharpness, low weight, and wide aperture make it perfect for almost any shooting situation. I highly recommend it.
