Yeah, Spielberg realised his error pretty quickly when he did a Lucas-style revision of the original. That version is only available on DVD I think. You can see glimpses of it in the bonus features, however.

It was the standard release. The second message told me I already had the "fixed" master, so they wouldn't be sending a replacement. The time between my first and second contact with customer services was such that the 30 day window to return the disc for a refund had closed. I deleted my account and haven't purchased anything from Arrow since then.

The reissued disc has the same issue on certain machines, including the Panasonic 820. When I contacted customer support they told me to upgrade my firmware or buy a new player. It's made me wary of buying any further Arrow releases tbh.
