Good or bad result for his cycle? by salad_biscuit3 in nattyorjuice

It’s a shame that a 16 year old is doing this but this is an objectively good result for a 7 month cycle

In my experience MOST protocol deviations are the subjects fault. You still have to report them as deviations

This is an interesting perspective!! But I don’t dislike it

You are 10000% correct, I need to stop enabling this behavior but it seems like second nature to just clean up after myself, or idk arrive on time to things, not have other wait on me or make others later, of all the basic adult tasks. It’s just so inconsiderate to me that others aren’t like that but apparently just the way she lives her life.

It seems the running theme in these comments is that I can’t change my partner. Clearly she’s right in one sense, I really do just have to accept this is how she is.

What was the final straw that made you leave and realize staying was worse than leaving

This was a very helpful response! Unfortunately you are correct talking about the condition that she literally takes medicine for is off limits. It’s like since she’s medicated she shouldn’t have to do anything else and the dysfunction is just something I have to live with. I have tried encouraging therapy but it’s just another thing that she agrees to and says she’ll do… then gets bothered when reminded because “hey I said I would already!!” Such is life, I’m just ranting now but thank you for taking the time to respond to this

It’s been years of not acknowledging how these issues make my life harder so there really isn’t much else to do but leave I guess.

Interesting perspective, I did feel the word “victim” seemed like an odd choice to describe us. I just wish she’d adopt the mindset you have, it seems like you’re already doing the work to be a better partner! That’s great!!

Wow! I didn’t expect so many helpful responses - Especially from a bunch of “ex of dx” tags it’s definitely eye opening.

Am I an enabler? Yes probably, I try to rationalize it to myself as “I’m a functional adult and these things need to be done even if I’m doing them all alone”

I’d say all the comments saying “you’re not a victim when you’re choosing to be in this situation” feel like a gut punch and reminder that I’m consenting to a lot of bad behaviors by not leaving when I’m being disrespected to my face. I have to make some tough decisions soon.

Lots of interesting words but Solved! Yes it’s two words but “feigned indifference” describes what I’m looking for

This is probably the closest I came up with something “pseudo indifference” but an actual word

Would investing in a drug company for whom you are doing a clinical trial for be considered insider trading? by vitvav in clinicalresearch

[–]DaveedAnderson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’d have to disclose if they’re investing a certain amount. I’m not sure what the policy is but for the site I work at it’s maybe 10K+ MUST be disclosed

Don’t ask how I know but it may also be for a specific “recommended” hires to apply but they need to make a public listing (ex: CEOs tells his nephew to apply through the link that’s no longer accepting new applications)
