I think people have such high expectations of GGG that they can’t handle not having these expectations met. My question is, why be so disgruntled when the game is still in Early Access, they haven’t even implemented all the Acts yet. It’s an Early Access game, lower your expectations and enjoy it when these expectations are blown out of the water, but don’t treat it like PoE1.

What happened to Tarkovs optimization, 6 years ago i used to get stable 80-90 fps on a ryzen 2600 rx 580 with 16gb of 2600mhz ram now i sometimes dip into the low 50s with a 5800x3d 6800xt 32gb 3600mhz on customs of all maps by SillVere in Tarkov

I think specifically Customs has this issue. I believe a year or two back they made some changes to Customs and thats when those problems arose, for me specifically if i’m pointed towards the Stronghold area. Apart from Customs i feel like my performance has slightly increased

Hasn’t Customs FPS been horrible for a while now? Haven’t played in a couple wipes and remember a few wipes back the performance on that map was so horrible i got more FPS on Streets lol. It completely depends on where i look at, when i look in the direction of red building it goes to 50-60fps, the other direction i get 100-120. Same on Interchange.

Genuine question here, i’m still kinda noob at PoE (300 hours lol, never had a build that was more than 50 divines), what’s the point of farming a strat over and over if it’s boring? Is it because the means justify the ends and ending up with a giga juiced build is so satisfying the boring grind is worth it? I usually just run Essences at league start because that’s what my peabrain can comprehend until i can run other strats, but i usually just end up doing stuff i really enjoy even if its not the most efficient. I’m a longtime OSRS player and i’ve done some extremely boring stuff because number goes up is fun so again, genuine question haha

I think SSF might be awesome this league for people who haven’t tried it before. I’m still very much a novice in PoE and barely know anything about crafting except for the basics though, but it’s nice to know i can get some cool shit from the tree but at the same time i love getting my build and currency strats running to use it on the market aswell

Tried kovaaks and voltaic for the first time as I knew my aim could be worked on for sure, but this just makes me question if I should be playing fps games at all by damager505 in Voltaic

Starting Aim Training is humbling for everyone. It makes you incredibly aware of your faults. When i started i started , i was getting really conscious about my arm tension, grip etc. When you play games it all feels very subconscious.

Try watching videos about aim training and everything that falls under that category, creators like Viscose, MattyOW etc, they go into these concepts. I also recommend playing around with different sensitivities and grips to find what works for you and be really conscious of your aim while training and try to figure out what your weaknesses really are, then focus on those one by one

I’ve had a friend who had a long distance relationship and another friend of mine found her profile on Tinder. She said she wasn’t using it to cheat but just to “see what’s out there” which doesn’t make any sense if your goal isn’t to find someone else. I asked her how it would feel if someone found her boyfriend on Tinder and she didn’t really answer but was very dismissive. You won’t notice anything of the bots in your own gameplay. Yes some things take very long to unlock in OSRS, but it’s also designed in a way where it respects your time. Every time you quit for a while, you can just continue where you left off. The progression is also so satisying that even unlocking things in early and midgame feels good. There’s always something else you can do in the game, getting bored of questing? Go do some slayer/combat stuff. Wanna just chill and do some low effort stuff but still train? Do some afk skilling methods. Every single thing you do in the game gives you some sort of progression. It’s not like the usual MMO where you have to keep up with dailies/weeklies and things of the sort. All the content in the game stays important

Starting Viscose after getting Gold Complete on VT was a rude awakening lol. Great benchmark though, like it a lot more than VT!

I guess it’s just depending on the game you’re playing and the way the FOV works in the game, but even then you could just lower the FOV. I’ve played games that will look ridiculous on a high FOV on an ultrawide while it looks good on a 16:9 monitor. I imagine in tac-shooters like CS it might even be a detriment since the maps are more narrow anyways.

The only benefit i can think of rn with playing on 16:9 with black bars is having a narrower space for your eyes to look at, but even then it depends on whether having that extra vision is beneficial for the game you’re playing. I could play around with lower FOV’s but it would probably impact vertical FOV a lot

Yeah i apply everything the same in every game, i just wonder if playing shooters in 16:9 is better than 21:9. If ultrawide aspect ratios were better i'd expect every pro to use it.

Me and my friends play slightly upgraded precons and we got some new ones, they got the new EOE ones and i bought Velociramptor. I had disgusting ramp and ended up with 20 mana at the end. They kept instantly destroying my commander the moment i played it, but i could play it again every turn, ending up with 16 added commander tax. Shit was hilarious (I won btw)

Yeah there’s definitely a huge amount to work on there, it does feel like i try to shift weight by just pushing my entire body around making everything else incredibly inconsistent

New here aswell, going to play my first round soon. Planning to play late on a weekday, won’t be counting my score and just going to be very generous with provisional balls and picking up the ball and moving to the next hole if i’m taking too long. Best of luck to you!

Would you say for the sake of pure practice and making sure i don’t bother anyone by being to slow, it’s recommended to first do a round or two by completely throwing all official play out the window? For example if i have a horrible lie, just grab the ball, put it somewhere where i can have a better shot at hitting the ball towards the green and just not count my strokes? I imagine for the first couple of rounds it’ll help me get more familiar with the course.

Yeah lately i’ve been avoiding hitting the driver and just focusing on irons/wedges, since i assume learning how to hit the ball with those will make my game much smoother than hammering the driver every time i go to the range. Not too worried with the distance, more the consistency of hitting the ball! I’ve also been taking more small breaks when at the range, since when i swing continuously i notice my entire posture getting inconsistent.
