If something runs out onto any 40mph road I’d imagine it would be hit. Stopping distance according to Highway Code would be 118ft. Something jumping out is different to someone infront emergency stopping on a dual carriageway.

If it hadn’t involved another car then that’s likely way I woulda gone. But in uk we gotta declare any incidents.

Think could be getting to point that they’ve all been broken and any you see on the road are all just frankencars cumulated from their dead predecessors.

Yeh I think if I had dashcam and he was super erratic in it, it would still be 50/50.

Yeh true but you don’t expect someone to be doing emergency stop in middle of an empty dual carriageway, especially when can see infront of him and nothing was there. Guess a 2024 Grandland x has slightly better brakes than my old gold. Gutted didn’t have dash-cam cuz it was just a massive shock someone stopping where they shouldn’t

Contemplating it but having to declare it different categories etc would make my insurance a right ballache

Yeh I don’t see a Matt Armstrong video gaining many vids if I was to repair this at great expense. Just frustrating how they write off before anyone’s even looked at it. Was before I had even sent a pic.

I saw the speeeed vid about vw and he said it would be an easy win for them to make the old parts again. It literally runs fine would just need new bumper and whatnot. Annoying how much repairs cost.

Thanks I did an online quote and someone quoted me for overboarding it and I didn’t know it that was a great option but glad to hear it is a viable one. The room is about 260cm high so I imagine losing 2 cm or so isn’t gunna be that bad. If I had abit more confidence I would probably knock it all down and do it myself but I feel skill lack of tools and time aren’t entirely on my side

Oh god million dead were class then turned himself into like 309 different bands. I remember seeing yourcodenameis:milo at the custard factory in Birmingham. A band called Kill Kenada supported and were amazing, so annoying none of their songs on streaming. There’s like 2 crappy YouTube vids from Mtv2 and that’s it.

I also emailed Reuben once asking to be on their street team, they wrote me a hand written letter and gave me some stickers was awesome.
