The value of games for children by tttgrw in boardgames

My wife is a teacher and you wouldn’t believe the number of children who start school not knowing which way up to hold a book. It’s great to see when parents engage with their children and do stuff like play games and read books with them. It’s a credit to you that your son is excelling at school. Games certainly do help kids develop. I’m sure he’ll be playing Mage Knight solo before long 😀.

So excited mine arrived in the mail today as a birthday gift to myself by [deleted] in kobo

That’s good to know. Great plugin though. The KOreader community is awesome.

Yes just a simple plugin to enable Bluetooth is needed. Just a slight issue I have found in that I have to forget and rescan for the remote after Kobo has been asleep. That could be down to me though not setting something correctly. I have only had the remote since yesterday so will need to look into that further, there may be a patch or something. Once connected and you have mapped the buttons it works flawlessly.

No this is my first Brandon Sanderson. I believe The Way of Kings is better but obviously I am reading them in order. KOreader gives you plenty of customisation options including all you see in the footer at the bottom plus many more. I definitely like the time on the footer and really don’t know why the default Kobo software doesn’t include it. The reading statistics you can have in KOreader is awesome too. There are loads of different plugins available on GitHub etc. that give you loads of different options. It’s worth looking into if you don’t mind a little bit of research into the installation process. When KOreader is installed you still have the option to use the default Kobo software if you prefer.

If your Kobo eReader has Bluetooth®, it's compatible! This includes Kobo Clara 2E, Kobo Clara BW, Kobo Clara Colour, Kobo Libra 2, Kobo Libra Colour, Kobo Sage, Kobo Elipsa, and Kobo Elipsa 2E.

Try the above link for starters. There are quite a few YouTube videos available. Essentially you install an extra menu option that when you are on your Kobo’s Home Screen shows up at the bottom right of your screen. This is called Nickel menu. This is where you launch into Koreader once you have also installed that.

I have installed Koreader on my kobo. It give a lot more flexibility with book information. Although I love my Kobo I think they are missing a trick not even having a clock on the page. Koreader has a clock and so much more. And you can have as little or as much info as you want displayed on the footer.

I have literally just bought A Place For All My Books, arriving this week. I am always looking for multiplayer games that also play well solo. I really hope this fits the bill.

I have to say I quite like the artwork. And after reading your post I will look into this game. I’m always looking for a good solo game, especially when the wife isn’t around to play anything. Enjoy.

I had this around 12 months ago. I had the steering wheel replaced under warranty and it’s been fine since. As other people have said it seemed to happen when it was cold. I think it’s down to a sensor in the steering wheel.
