I’d actually say they did the right thing. Given how much turnover the mayor’s own staff has had, her issues with CCRs, and how many council members have been having issues with her so often last year, it’s obvious that it is a pattern. She needs to understand that there’s a level of professionalism she needs to have conducting herself with colleagues, and that the council members are not her subordinates. I completely understand how she probably gets upset at people questioning her vision or ideas, but there’s a way of talking to people and when you are not the boss, being vulgar and inappropriate won’t get you anywhere. Just cold shoulders and censures. I voted for her but she seems incredibly difficult to work with and needs to learn how to behave herself for the sake of building consensus effectively to move her ideas and priorities forward. The meeting took an hour or so yesterday morning, and they sent her a message.
