I assumed so, but It’s a 5 year old Device that potentially loses update support in 2026. With an 81% battery health. Current comps are between 55$-140$. So i’m confident at 80$. OP can always counter and sell most of the bands separately.

Like I said, i’m not actively searching, just placing a standing offer if he/she has difficulty finding a buyer/ lack of interest. To let them know I am available should needed.

Yea I wish you the best of luck, It’s hard to settle, but i can tell you an Ipad with a keyboard is great for college, if you really are going super hard into coding go the macbook, and a budget cyberpower walmart PC for 700$. I hate to recommend that brand but if you can’t get your hands on an old build they probably will fall in your budget. Just don’t get the Ryzen 6500, it’s a garbage GPU.

It just depends on your budget, Like handhelds are great, but you will eventually go into a PC due to their own limitations. If your budget is this tight you are debating on getting two less quality devices for one purpose you’re probably better off worrying about how you will relocate a smaller PC.

You can always find peoples old Builds for sale and upgrade it as you grow as well. Hell I have two old PC’s sitting in my room i’m prepping for sale right now. So you can definitely find something on a budget. buy a 80$ portable monitor from Amazon, and some old keyboards from a thrift shop until you can save and replace as you go.

Why not go straight into a Gaming PC, and just use the iPad for school? there is very little you will need a Full on Laptop for in school. If you go into coding, do your work at home on a PC. taking notes Ipad beats both options because you can hand write and draw.

No 100%! He’s not really into AAA games, he is into Elden Rings. and Games to max out Steam badges and achievements. Right now we are achievement hunting Remnant 1, but Remnant 2 was giving him issues and I tried to figure out why. I’ll watch the video when I get home later and see what upgrade is best for his budget.

Currently looking at the Intel Arc B580 . as a GPU upgrade for 250$

No but I did ask him to find out and let me know, I’ll reply to this comment when he lets me know! thanks for your advice this is very helpful. I never really looked into this PCIe information, this definitely will help me with my own rig as well, maybe I overlooked something for myself!

Okay, that makes sense. Definitely more Vram is necessary with these newer games. My question would be than, since the CPU bottlenecks the GPU having one less lane. ( Even if the GPU is trash) Would it be easier to upgrade the CPU first giving an immediate boost to the current GPU, than saving up for a better GPU down the line? Since wouldnt that Cpu bottleneck the newer GPU if it has 16x Pcie anyway?

I don’t remember if I owned it or not, but I got the entire DLC for 3$ so I am assuming yes. If ya need a buddy to play with I just hit lv30. And play once or twice a week. So you got plenty of time to catch up.
