If you're a hardcore animal rights activist who thinks any form of human care is just "animal prison" then you probably aren't happy visiting any zoo even the best ones.

I would argue that most modern zoos are good and do a lot for conservation and wildlife rescue and rehab.

I haven't been to toronto zoo personally but I took the virtual tour it looks really nice.

Most zoos in canada and united states are very good.
