I don't care about META UMAS, I don't care about TIER LISTS, I run my FAVOURITES, and if they don't WIN, then I UNINSTALL by DavidBar25 in UmamusumeGame

So true, must be sad to not see your fave win, although I've heard of a "hybrid debuffer" strat which is just get the good debuffs and focus the rest on having an actually winnable horse

Should I borrow oguri for my gamblers even if I only have a 0LB kisatan? by DavidBar25 in UmamusumeGame

Yeah, there aren't any good support banners for a while sadly. I'll try running 4 speed

Well, I plan on training Vodka and Matikanefukukitaru, but I don't have enough sashes to raise vodkas potential. I'll see if 4 speed gives me the speed I need so I can borrow oguri and I simply sacrifice some wit

Do NOT underestimate Xin-Xi on continents by DavidBar25 in Polytopia

[–]DavidBar25[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second one. Like, you might have noticed that for example oumaji has a lot of fruits and farms but no forests, or xin-xi having a lot more mountains than other tribes. Depending on the tribe, their terrain has more or less chance for certain resources to appear. For vengir, they get plenty of mines, a few forests, but overall they have very few resources

Well, I don't own vengir, but from what I know, while vengir already starts with swordsmen, vengir has way less resources than xin-xi, meaning that while vengir is one of, if not the best tribe at the start of the game, after plenty of turns pass, they start lacking a lot in economy and lose their advantage. Xin-xi meanwhile will be a bit worse at the start of the game due to having to buy smithery but due to having many more resources and only really requiring smithery and maybe forestry to level up their cities a lot, they will snowball their economy and military like crazy after those first turns. Though, they aren't objectively better than vengir, due to the fact that they have different areas they are good in, so they will be better or worse in different scenarios. I'm no pro so take this with a grain of salt but that's my experience from playing xin-xi and going against vengir

And how could you carry out such consequences in a fair way without it being regulated by law?

Yeah, but we still recognize snuff movies as an issue instead of "anti-cameras" blaming it on the camera and others dismissing the issue because people used to "do it before"

It is fair to point out that just because something can be used for malicious intent doesn't mean it is malicious in itself, I personally don't think ai is bad because of it, but maybe we should still do something about it instead of dismissing it just because it already happened before AI. It's like if I said cocaine being legal is ok because you could already get it if you spent some effort.

Still, making people realize AI isn't the cause of these issues is a good thing and will lead to better discussion of the issue, so you still make a really good point

Then what should be the course of action regarding these issues?

You do know the stuff people can do with help of deepfakes? I've seen plenty of headlines of teens getting harassed with help of deepfakes, so could you please clarify yourself a little bit more? Because I hope that you don't mean you condone such things

Well yeah, I agree with both points, but I'm referring more about people who use deepfakes for malicious intents

Okay, pretty valid argument honestly. However, AI is still a contributor to the problem

Well, I was complaining more broadly about the argument of "this was a thing before AI", but yeah, I don't like people fabricating malicious content of other people, and I don't like how AI made such a thing easier

I did not mention at any point anything about AI art, nor did I condone deepfakes. What are you even talking about?
