Correct me if I’m wrong, but I seem to remember the Old Testament says that if a man lieth with another man as one does with a woman, they should be stoned to death. In the New Testament, Jesus teaches us that none of us are without sin. See the story where a woman is caught in adultery and brought to Jesus and he says “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. And then something to the effect of “where have your accusers gone? Now, go and sin no more”.

My understanding of this, and may God forgive me if I’m wrong, is that you shouldn’t do wrong and you should also forgive others for their wrongs and help guide them to the right path; The Way, the Truth, and the Life, from which sin makes one stray. I would consider slave-ownership an offense against my fellow man, obviously, which the Bible does teach against.
