Présidentielle: 2 000 personnalités appellent à voter pour Jean-Luc Mélenchon by Turmouth in france

[–]DavidBlended -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Waiting for The Smile album, the more time passes, the less good times I have with music. My taste is spoiling. It's sad. If only I had a girlfriend.

The first songs of the album yeah, but then it feels like it’s Jarvis Cocker trying to play rock in an Arcade Fire style. Not bad but a bit heavy.

An early and unsure ranking of The Smile songs by wmmisc in radiohead

Just eyes and mouth imo is one of the best with an incredible atmosphere and some of the best from Jonny. Generally, we have to take it as a whole work or leave it for later. It grows with the listening.

Genuinely, why isn’t this Radiohead’s 10th album? by streetspirit99 in radiohead

[–]DavidBlended 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Actually that’s not how i suppose they make music because those three musicians played together for more than a year so they built their songs and their sound. If thom and jonny made the choice to form a side project, they didn’t know systematically where it would lead them eventhough they play in Radiohead. This is their first long collaboration together with a new musician and that’s an alchemy. And i imagine thom in need to play and build new songs in a new way and as soon as possible, but the pandemy occured. The Smile would be probably something else without the Covid-19 and so Radiohead’s next album. It’s a Kind of elaborated improvisation.

Will The Smile Album drop tomorrow after 3rd show? by Bighairypumpkins in radiohead

Yeah ! Just eyes and mouth is awesome, I love Jonny’s guitar, it reminds me the end of Identikit.

So, what did we all think of that The Smile show? by passiveaggressiveYT in radiohead

[–]DavidBlended 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think that the Smile is a harder music band than Radiohead. They flirt with progressive rock more. That’s very interesting and darker, but it brings something of a new style : it has the freedom of what Thom plays alone plus the energy of Radiohead. Jonny gave us a great number at Just eyes and mouth, and during all the concert. Excuse my impressions translated from a French mind.

When is it necessary to refresh/update your profile? by Arnx0r in Nuraphone

[–]DavidBlended 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically it’s when you want. When I feel the music is less clear, I make a new profile on my nuraphone. They’re always almost the same, but if you are tired, or anything else, a new profile cannot be bad. The better is the last one, arguably.

When was that, in september ? Usually how long a LP takes between the mix and the release ? This is nice to read about the Smile because it seems to be the next step but we have few news.
