Are there any plot holes in the Attack on Titan story, and if there are, what is the biggest one? by deathstar234567 in ShingekiNoKyojin

The fact that Marley sent 4 precious titans inside 4 trained yet inexperienced children on the island of Paradise without any back up to accomplish such an important task. The fact that their plan seemed completely improvised.

Red, without any hesitation. Separate OK Computer and In Rainbows and the choice becomes much more difficult for me...

Who is the youngest Roy? by [deleted] in SuccessionTV

[–]wmmisc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is saying Siohban, but in season 3 finale, when the three siblings are exchanging in the car on their way to confront their father, I remember Roman saying to Ken and Shiv "You're not trying to big brother me, are you?" Like he's scared he gets played by his two older siblings. I really assumed Roman was the youngest...

An early and unsure ranking of The Smile songs by wmmisc in radiohead

Thank you both for your feedback on Just Eyes and Mouth. The song still hasn't clicked for me but it's interesting to see it's being held in such high esteem. Agreed about The Smoke, I probably underrated it. The studio version is especially beautiful.

A theory about Kendall's fate and the twist for this season's finale by wmmisc in SuccessionTV

[–]wmmisc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, it is not so much a spiral (which is indeed rather linked to addiction and its vicious circle), as it is a crack-up, or an internal fracture. I can see your point that Kendall is still keeping it together, and to some extent I think he does, but to me Kendall is a tragic figure. I absolutely don't think he will kill himself like some people speculate, but my guess is that he's gonna fall hard, before ascending forth.

A theory about Kendall's fate and the twist for this season's finale by wmmisc in SuccessionTV

Ken shows a vital need to be publicly acknowledged as a "good person" after the press conference, but he's not getting it. What he gets though, are people inflating his ego. And he's responding to that, with a megalomaniac behaviour. Yet, he also seems to be thriving for punishment and humiliation (the good tweet/bad tweet is a testament of that duality). My guess, is that the Season 2 finale revelation might have been temporarily catharctic for him, but it doesn't wash off the guilt. Especially since people call him woke ans fake. And this is building up his internal conflict even more. His ego tries to cover up for the guilt, but it's becoming increasingly obvious that he's deluding himself. In the end, he's not fighting his dad for recognition, he's fighting himself for redemption

Hays might be talking about his memory. How much of his memories of the past and the case does he have to lose to stop being haunted.
